NMR spectroscopy is a very powerful tool for investigating chemical systems at the atomic level because of its ability to provide information on the local environment and dynamics of the nuclei. Because of this, NMR has become one of the most popular analy ...

Microwave superconducting resonators are extensively studied in fields such as quantum computing and electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy. However, the integration of superconducting resonators with feedback mechanisms to create ultra-low noise oscil ...

Nuclear magnetic resonance suffers from an intrinsically low sensitivity, which can be overcome by dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP). Gd(III) complexes are attractive exogenous polarizing agents for magic angle spinning (MAS) DNP due to their high chemica ...

The sensitivity of NMR spectroscopy is considerably enhanced by dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP). In DNP polarization is transferred from unpaired electrons of a polarizing agent to nearby proton spins. In solids, this transfer is followed by the transpo ...

Dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) is a method that can significantly increase the sensitivity of nuclear magnetic resonance. The only effective DNP mechanism for in situ hyperpolarization in solution is Overhauser DNP, which is inefficient for H-1 at high ...

Dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) can significantly enhance the sensitivity of NMR spectroscopy, via the transfer of polarization from unpaired electrons to nuclei. As a result, there is considerable interest in improving DNP efficiency, particularly thro ...

Knowledge of the mechanism by which polymorphic inorganic species, such as carbonates, are formed is crucial to understand and guide the selective crystallization of end products. Recently it has been shown that a key step in the crystallization of calcium ...

We evaluate the overall sensitivity gains provided by a series of eighteen nitroxide biradicals for dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) solid-state NMR at 9.4 T and 100 K, including eight new biradicals. We find that in the best performing group the factors ...

Efficient polarizing agents for dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) enhanced magic angle spinning (MAS) NMR spectroscopy is of high current interest due the potential to significantly boost NMR sensitivity. While most efforts have centered on cross-effect ( ...

Solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance under magic angle spinning (MAS) enhanced with dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) is a powerful approach to characterize many important classes of materials, allowing access to previously inaccessible structural and d ...

While solid-liquid interfaces are ubiquitous, detecting the associated surface sites under ambient conditions remains a grand challenge. Previously, we demonstrated the hyperpolarization by Overhauser effect dynamic nuclear polarization (OE-DNP) of ligands ...

Published by American Chemical Society.Triphenylphosphine (PPh3) is a ubiquitous ligand in organometallic chemistry that has been shown to give enhanced 31P NMR signals at high magnetic field via a scalar-dominated Overhauser effect dynamic nuclear polariz ...
