Metal-Organic Framework (MOF)-derived TiO2, synthesised through the calcination of MIL-125-NH2, is investigated for its potential as a CO2 photoreduction catalyst. The effect of the reaction parameters: irradiance, temperature and partial pressure of water ...

We investigate the synergy occurring in photocatalytic water splitting between the metal-organic framework MIL-125-NH(2)and two co-catalysts, namely NiO and Ni2P, by calculating their band edge alignment with respect to the redox levels of liquid water. Fo ...

The general scope of this thesis lies in the application of MOFs in photocatalysis. MOFs demonstrate inherent properties â such as high porosity, tunable optoelectronic and catalytic properties, which render them promising candidates for photocatalysis. ...

The photo-active MIL-125 and MIL-125-NH2 metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), despite having a very similar crystalline structure, exhibit different optical behaviors. Luminescence in MIL-125 decays in about 1 ns, while for its amino counterpart, the lifetime ...

Metal organic frameworks (MOFs) are increasingly used in applications that rely on the optical and electronic properties of these materials. These applications require a fundamental understanding on how the structure of these materials, and in particular t ...

We report the use of two earth abundant molybdenum sulfide-based cocatalysts, Mo(3)S(13)(2-)clusters and 1T-MoS2 nanoparticles (NPs), in combination with the visible-light active metal-organic framework (MOF) MIL-125-NH2 for the photocatalytic generation o ...

A strategy for enhancing the photocatalytic performance of MOF- based systems (MOF: metal-organic framework) is developed through the construction of MOF/MOF heterojunctions. The combination of MIL-167 with MIL-125-NH2 leads to the formation of MIL-167/MIL ...

The present invention concerns a photocatalytic system comprising or consisting of: a titanium-based metal-organic framework MOF based on or including a single ligand type or a plurality of different ligand types for generating photo-generated charge carri ...
