A palladium-catalyzed reaction of g,d-unsaturated oxime esters with oxadiazoles afforded dihydropyrroles in good to excellent yields through an intramolecular iminopalladation/intermolecular direct heteroarene C-H alkylation cascade. This unprecedented imi ...

Activated: The title reaction proceeds efficiently with 1 mol % of palladium and gives tetrahydroquinolines in excellent enantioselectivities (see scheme). The enantiodiscriminating concerted metalation-deprotonation step occurs via a rare seven-membered p ...

Elegant asymmetric synthesis of hasubanan alkaloids have been developed over the past decades. However, a divergent approach leading to all three sub-classes of this family of natural products remains unknown. We report herein the realization of such an en ...

The first enantioselective chiral phosphoric acid-catalyzed transfer hydrogenation of unprotected ortho-hydroxyaryl alkyl N-H ketimines using Hantszch di-tert-butyl ester as a reductant is reported. A variety of ortho-hydroxybenzylamines were obtained in go ...

Pd(II)-catalyzed double cyclization of 1,2-diarylethynes bearing an N-methyl-N-[2-(methoxycarbonyl)ethyl]amino and an aminocarbonyl group at the ortho positions of the two aromatic rings afforded the tetracyclic N-[2-(methoxycarbonyl)-ethyl]indoloisoquinol ...

We report herein a synthesis of 5,6-diarylbenzo[a]carbazoles by a sequence of 6 pi-electrocyclization followed by beta-elimination. The highly functionalized 2,3-disubstituted indoles used for this cycloaromatization process are prepared by Pd-catalyzed cy ...

A copper-catalyzed oxyalkylation of allylic alcohols using nonactivated alkyl nitriles as reaction partners was developed. A sequence involving generation of an alkyl nitrile radical followed by its addition to a double bond and a copper-mediated formation ...

Intramolecular asymmetric carbopalladation of N-aryl acrylamides followed by intermolecular trapping of the resulting σ-C(sp3)−Pd complex by azoles afforded 3,3-disubstituted oxindoles in good yields with excellent enantioselectivities. Two C−C bonds were ...

Mild and general alumina promoted hydrolysis conditions for converting α-iminonitriles into carboxamides have been developed. In combination with the oxidative three-component Strecker reaction, the one-pot direct amidation of aldehydes and alcohols is rep ...

Silver nitrate-catalyzed reaction of methyl α,α-disubstituted α-isocyanoacetates with primary amines afforded 3,5,5-trisubstituted imidazolones in good to excellent yields. A silver salt-catalyzed insertion of the isocyano group into the N−H bond of the am ...

In the past decade, model order reduction (MOR) has been successful in reducing the computational complexity of elliptic and parabolic systems of partial differential equations (PDEs). However, MOR of hyperbolic equations remains a challenge. Symmetries an ...

A copper-catalysed cyanoalkylative cycloetherification of alkenes was developed. Heating a solution of substituted (2-vinylphenyl)methanol in MeCN/MeOH (v/v 7/3) in the presence of a catalytic amount of copper(II) tetrafluoroborate hydrate [Cu(BF4)26H2O], ...

The reaction of isocyanomethylenetriphenylphosphorane, generated in situ from the corresponding phosphonium salt, with a diverse set of aldehydes afforded vinyl isocyanides in good to high yields. Excellent E-selectivity was observed for aliphatic aldehyde ...
