The development and field validation of newly designed nanostructured gold-plated gel-integrated microelectrode (Au-GIME) arrays applied to the direct in situ square wave anodic stripping voltammetry (SWASV) quantification of the potentially bioavailable i ...

A new and versatile fabrication process of insulated gold tip probes for atomic force microscopy (AFM) is presented by Wu et al. (In-plane fabricated insulated gold-tip probe for electrochemical and molecular experiments, in: 2013 IEEE 26th International C ...

We report here on the development and application of a submersible, compact, low power consumption, integrated multichannel trace metal sensing probe (TracMetal). This probe is unique in that it allows high-resolution, simultaneous in-situ measurements of ...

A miniature device enabling parallel in vivo detection of the neurotransmitter choline in multiple brain regions of freely behaving rodents is presented. This is achieved by combining a biosensor microprobe array with a custom-developed CMOS chip. Each sil ...

In this contribution we present a scanning probe with a gold-tip completely encapsulated with insulator all the way to the apex. The probe fabrication is unique owing to an in-plane arrangement in which the width of the cantilever is defined by deep reacti ...

SU-8 and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) are both transparent materials with properties very convenient for rapid prototyping of microfluidic systems. However, previous efforts of combining these two materials failed due to poor adhesion between them. Herein, ...

We present a portable microsystem to quantitatively detect cocaine in human saliva. The chip combines a simple microfluidic method for multiphase liquid-liquid extraction to transfer cocaine from IR-light absorbing saliva to an IRtransparent solvent with t ...

This paper presents a novel process for screen printed electrode fabrication, functionalization and integration in a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fluidics system for electrochemical analysis. The innovative components utilized are: 1. 3D Through-Foil V ...

Silicon biosensor microprobes for the in vivo detection of neurotransmitters are equipped with removable clips for an on-chip functionalisation technique that allows a simple and comfortable but very local and reproducible deposition of sensitive layers on ...

This work presents the development, characterization and field validation of newly designed gel-integrated nanostructured gold-basedmicroelectrode arrays (Au-GIMEs) enabling the direct detection of inorganic arsenite (As(III)) in fresh and marine aquatic s ...

In this contribution we present multi-channel microinjector arrays fabricated by a reliable three-layer SU-8 process and assembled with glutamate biosensor microprobes'. It enables local delivery of specific liquids into brain tissue for the stimulation or ...
