The paper reports on a nonlinear frequency up-converting vibration energy harvester with enhanced broadband performance below 50 Hz, which is attained by leveraging vibro-impact interaction between two high-frequency piezoelectric generators and two low-fr ...

Solution processing is an attractive alternative to standard vacuum fabrication techniques for the large-area manufacturing of metal oxide (MOx)-based electron devices. Here, we report on thin-film transistors (TFTs) based on a solution-processed indium zi ...

This data set contains the data collected during the FNS project Green Piezo (Grant no. 179064) in association with the recent publication entitled “Low-temperature processing of screen-printed piezoelectric KNbO3 with integration onto biodegradable paper ...

The development of fully solution-processed, biodegradable piezoelectrics is a critical step in the development of green electronics towards the worldwide reduction of harmful electronic waste. However, recent printing processes for piezoelectrics are hind ...

Transient electronics offer a promising solution for reducing electronic waste and for use in implantable bioelectronics, yet their fabrication remains challenging. We report on a scalable method that synergistically combines chemical and photonic mechanis ...

In this work we present a novel strategy to fabricate printed comb electrodes devices with decreased size by the introduction of a thin dielectric layer between the two combs. The electrical insulation of the two polarities prevents short-cuts occurring be ...

We report the modeling, and geometrical and electrical characterization, of inkjet and screen-printed patterns on different polymeric substrates for use as antennas in radio-frequency identification (RFID) applications. We compared the physical and electri ...

Fabrication, textile integration and post-weaving characterization of a robust platform for monolithically integrated, low-power gas and temperature sensing are presented. The platform, consisting of an interdigitated planar capacitor for gas sensing and a ...

This data set contains the data collected during the FNS project Green Piezo (Green biodegradable piezoelectric electronic and microsystems, Grant no. 179064). With the continuous increase of electronic waste, the main research topic of this project is th ...

Interdigitated electrodes are common structures in the fields of microelectronics and MEMS. Recent developments in flexible electronics compel an understanding of such structures under bending constraints. In this work, the behavior of interdigitated micro ...

We report a light, flexible, and low-power poly(ionic liquid)/alumina composite CO2 sensor. We monitor the direct-current resistance changes as a function of CO2 concentration and relative humidity and demonstrate fast and reversible sensing kinetics. More ...

A System-in-Package (SiP) concept for the 3D-integration of a Single Wall Carbon Nanotube (SWCNT) resonator with its CMOS driving electronics is presented. The key element of this advanced SiP is the monolithic 3D-integration of the MEMS with the CMOS elec ...

Transient electronics hold promise in reducing electronic waste, especially in applications that require only a limited lifetime. While various degradable electronic and physical sensing devices have been proposed, there is growing interest in the developm ...

Flexible high-voltage thin- lm transistors (HVTFTs) operating at more than 1 kV are integrated with compliant dielectric elastomer actuators (DEA) to create a exible array of 16 independent actuators. To allow for high-voltage operation, the HVTFT implemen ...

In this paper, we present the conception, fabrication and characterization of a thermopile designed to detect terahertz electromagnetic fields at room temperature. The thermopile is made of four doped silicon/titanium thermocouples. The absorber consists o ...

We are reporting energy scavenging from fluid flows inside tubular structures using triboelectric effects. Two separate designs of triboelectric generators are proposed. A tubular design that uses liquid-solid interaction mechanism for water, and freestand ...

The dysregulation of the hormone cortisol is related to several pathological states, and its monitoring could help prevent severe stress, fatigue, and mental diseases. While wearable antibody-based biosensors could allow real-time and simple monitoring of ...

This data set contains the data collected during the FNS project Green Piezo (Grant no. 179064) in association with the recent publication entitled “Zinc hybrid sintering for printed transient sensors and wireless electronics”. This work aims to study and ...

This data set contains the data collected during the FNS project Green Piezo (Grant no. 179064) in association with the recent publication entitled “Printed ecoresorbable temperature sensors for environmental monitoring”. This work aims to study the effect ...

This paper presents the printing of resistive and interdigitated (IDE) capacitive devices for temperature and humidity sensing applications, respectively, on biodegradable polylactic acid (PLA) substrates. Inkjet and gravure printing were evaluated to tran ...
