We report the one-pot synthesis of 4-amino thiochromans using simple aminocyclopropanes and thiophenols through a formal [3+3] annulation reaction. This reaction proceeds under mild conditions with good functional group tolerance. The thiochroman core was ...

Enamines are versatile building blocks for the synthesis of biologically active compounds. Nevertheless, only a limited number of strategies have been reported for preparing trisubstituted enamines in a regio-and stereoselective manner. Herein, we report a ...

We report the first example of a dynamic kinetic asymmetric [3 + 2] annulation reaction of aminocyclopropanes with both enol ethers and aldehydes. Using a Cu catalyst and a commercially available bisoxazoline ligand, cyclopentyl- and tetrahydrofurylamines ...

A method for the synthesis of enantiopure 1,5-substituted hydantoins was developed using a hypervalent iodine cyanation reagent (cyanobenziodoxolone, CBX) as a source of electrophilic carbon. Starting from inexpensive commercially available enantiopure pro ...

A thiol-alkynylation procedure utilizing the hypervalent iodine alkyne transfer reagent TIPS-ethynyl-benziodoxolone has been developed. This scalable reaction proceeds in five minutes at room temperature in an open flask using commercially available reagen ...

The selective palladium-catalyzed carboamination of allylic alcohols is reported on the basis of the use of an easily introduced trifluoroacetaldehyde-derived tether. Aminoalkynylation reactions were realized using alkynyl bromides and commercially availab ...

An organic dye photocatalyzed lactonization-alkynylation of easily accessible homoallylic cesium oxalates using ethynylbenziodoxolone (EBX) reagents has been developed. The reaction gave access to valuable functionalized lactones and lactams in up to 88% y ...

We report the synthesis of ketene dithioarylacetals in 40–97% yield using thiophenols and acyl-EBXs (ethynylbenziodoxolones) generated in situ from a common hypervalent iodine precursor and alkynyl trifluoroborate salts. The products could be further modif ...
