Agnieszka Kapalka has several years of professional experience in both academia and the private sector, including corporate and startup environments. Throughout her career, she conducted award-winning multidisciplinary research and managed industrial innovation projects. The scope of her research and innovation activities included: environmental electrochemical engineering, sustainability, development of technologically advanced security solutions (identification, traceability, authentication).She is currently a Program Manager at the EPFL AI Center, where she oversees initiatives aimed at advancing AI in education, research and innovation. Previously, as Academic Deputy Director at Business School Lausanne, she led the Executive Education portfolio, including E/MBA programs in Business Transformation & Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Business. She holds a PhD from EPFL and an MBA from BSL.Agnieszka is the author of numerous scientific publications and holds two patents; her research has been cited over 4000 times (h-index 23). She also received the EPFL Doctorate Award 2009 and the Oronzio and Niccolo De Nora Foundation Prize Of International Society of Electrochemistry in recognition of her outstanding work.
