Neurological disorders have a strong negative impact on the quality of life of affected patients, their close relatives as well as on the health economic system. Early diagnosis associated with better treatment outcomes remain difficult to reach. Similarly ...

Direct collection of extracellular fluid (ECF) plays a central role in the monitoring of neurological disorders. Current approaches using microdialysis catheters are however drastically limited in term of temporal resolution. Here we show a functional in v ...

We propose a novel neural probe which combines microfluidic channels with recording and stimulation electrodes. The developed microfabrication approach enables the concentration of every active element such as electrodes and the sampling inlet in close pro ...

The invention provides for a device (100) for use in electrical nerve modulation in a subject, characterized in that it comprises a rotational and linear actuator (110); a tubular element (101) having a proximal end connected to the actuator (110) and a di ...

We recently developed a neural probe allowing to capture at high temporal resolution nano-volume droplets of interstitial fluid from the brain organized in a segmented flow. In order to enable the analysis of these small volume and low concentration drople ...

The invention provides for a steerable guidewire for insertion into a body cavity, characterized in that it comprises an elongated body (101) defining a longitudinally-arranged lumen (200) comprising i) a proximal end portion (100) and ii) a distal end por ...

A steerable device for use as e.g. a guidewire for insertion into a subject's body is disclosed. The device features a single side deflection of a bendable portion located at its distal end by application of a longitudinally-directed force either on an inn ...
