Polyvinylpyrrolidone stabilized rhodium nanoparticles are highly sol. in hydroxyl-functionalized ionic liqs., providing an effective and highly stable catalytic system. In hydrogenation reactions, excellent results were obtained, and transmission electron ...

Solid-state proton conductors based on the use of metal-organic framework (MOF) materials as proton exchange membranes are being investigated as alternatives to the current state of the art. This study reports a new family of proton conductors based on MIL ...

Nitrile-functionalized pyrrolidinium-based ionic liqs. were prepd. and characterized by spectroscopic methods and x-ray crystallog. The application of these new ionic liqs. as reaction media for Suzuki and Stille C-C cross-coupling reactions was studied an ...

The high toxicity, volatility, and dispersion of the light aromatics, benzene, toluene, and xylene (BTX) pose a serious threat to the environment and human health. Compared to incineration, catalytic oxidation technologies for BTX removal offer benefits su ...

Selective catalytic oxidation (SCO) of NH3 to N2 is one of the most effective methods used to eliminate NH3 emissions. However, achieving high conversion over a wide operating temperature range while avoiding over-oxidation to NOx remains a significant cha ...

Pristine multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWNT) films have a range of important applications. Currently, vacuum filtration is the main method used to prepare MWNT films, which limits their large-scale production. Solvent evaporation is an alternative method us ...

Functionalized imidazolium iodide salts (ionic liquids) modified with -CH2-CH=CH2, -CH2C equivalent to CH, or -CH2C equivalent to N groups are applied as dopants in the synthesis of CH3NH3PbI3-type perovskites together with a fumigation step. Notably, a so ...

Two new aminophosphines, benzyl-N(Ph2P)(2) and 2-picolyl-N(Ph2P)(2), have been synthesized. Oxidation of the aminophosphines with either hydrogen peroxide, elemental sulfur and selenium gave the corresponding oxides, sulfides and selenides benzyl-N(Ph2P=E) ...

We show that ionic liquids (ILs) interact with electron-rich, porous polyphosphazene (PPZ), to form hybrid PPZ-IL nanoreactors able to simultaneously capture and transform CO2 into carbonates. The PPZ nanospheres swell in organic solvents and effectively a ...

Gold nanoparticles were grown on single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) coated with a thiol-functionalized ionic liquid resulting in the formation of core-shell structures referred to as SWNT-IL-Au nanohybrid materials. The nanohybrid materials were charac ...

A facile method to coordinate transition metal complexes (TMCs) on single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) has been developed. Reaction of Zn(OAc)2 with carboxylic acid functionalized SWNTs (SWNT-COOH) affords SWNT complexes zipped-together' by zinc carboxy ...

All-inorganic CsPbI3 perovskite solar cells (PSCs) with efficiencies exceeding 20% are ideal candidates for appli-cation in large-scale tandem solar cells. However, there are still two major obstacles hindering their scale-up: (i) the inhomogeneous solid-s ...

Imidazolium- and pyridinium-based ionic liqs. with ether/polyether substituents have been evaluated as solvents for palladium-catalyzed Suzuki C-C coupling reactions. In general, reactions proceed more efficiently in these solvents compared to other ionic ...

The crystal structure of a strontium-imidazolium polymeric material obtained from the reaction of zwitterionic 1,3-bis(carboxymethyl)-imidazolium with SrCO3 (2:1) in water is reported. The compound crystallized in the orthorhombic space group Pcc2 with a = ...

Highly stable palladium nanoparticles 5 nm diam., protected by an imidazolium-based ionic polymer in a nitrile-functionalized ionic liq., have been prepd. and characterized by TEM. These Pd nanoparticles are excellent precatalysts for Suzuki, Heck, and Sti ...

A series of nitrile-functionalized imidazolium salts (many of which are liquid at room temperature) have been prepared. The reactivity of these salts with PdCl2 has been studied, resulting in salts containing a tetrachloropalladate dianion or co ...

Platinum nanoparticles (PtNPs stabilized by an ionic-liq.-like-copolymer (IP) immobilized in various ionic liqs. (ILs)) effectively catalyze the selective hydrogenation of arom. chloronitro compds. to arom. chloroamines, a reaction of considerable com. sig ...

Surface treatment of textiles causes a significant amount of environmental pollution and endowing traditional fabrics with multiple functions through facile methods remains challenging. Here a simple strategy is proposed involving the copolymerization of m ...
