The study of a wide peaking structure in the Bc+γ mass spectrum is reported using a data sample of proton-proton collisions collected by the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb− 1 . The observed structure is consistent with the lowest excited P -wave Bc+ states and exhibits a statistical significance exceeding 7 standard deviations relative to the background-only hypothesis. Searches for CP violation in the two-body decays D-(s)(+) -> h(+)pi(0) and D-(s)(+) -> h(+)eta (where h(+) denotes a pi(+) or K+ meson) are performed using pp collision data collected by the LHCb experiment corresponding to either 9 fb(-1) or 6 fb(-1) of i ...

Angular correlations in B+ -> X(3872)K+ decays, with X(3872) -> rho(0)J/psi, rho(0) -> pi(+)pi(-) and J/psi -> pi(+)pi(-), are used to measure orbital angular momentum contributions and to determine the J(PC) value of the X(3872) meson. The data correspond ...

A search for the rare decays B-s(0) -> mu(+) mu(-) and B-s(0) -> mu(+) mu-is performed with data collected in 2011 and 2012 with the LHCb experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The data samples comprise 1.1 fb(-1) of proton-proton collisions at root s = ...

Using data collected with the LHCb detector in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV, the hadronic decay B-s(0) -> J/psi f(0)(980) is observed. This CP eigenstate mode could be used to measure mixing-induced CP violation in the B? sy ...

Dark photons are hypothetical massive vector particles that could mix with ordinary photons. The simplest theoretical model is fully characterised by only two parameters: the mass of the dark photon m(gamma)D and its mixing parameter with the photon, epsil ...

The lifetimes of the

{\varOmega}_c^0

and

{\Xi}_c^0

baryons are measured using a pp collision dataset collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb −1. The charm baryons are produced in the fully reconstructed decay chains

{\varOmega}_b^{-}\to {\varOmega}_c^0\left(\to p{K}^{-}{K}^{-}{\pi}^{+}\right){\pi}^{-}

and

{\Xi}_b^{-}\to {\Xi}_c^0\left(\to p{K}^{-}{K}^{-}{\pi}^{+}\right){\pi}^{-}

. The measurement uses topologically and kinematically similar B − → D

The Large Hadron Collider beauty experiment (LHCb) is a single-arm forward spectrometer dedicated to the study of B-meson decays in p - p collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The LHCb detector has excellent tracking and particle identification ca ...

A measurement of the inclusive Z -> tau tau cross-section in p p collisions at root s = 7 TeV is presented based on a dataset of 1.0 fb(-1) collected by the LHCb detector. Candidates for Z -> tau tau decays are identified through reconstructed final states ...

The first measurements of the top- and antitop-quark differential production cross sections and the top-quark charge asymmetry in the forward region are presented, using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb^{-1}. The total production cross sections of top and antitop quarks are also determined. Measurements are performed using the μ+b-jet final state within a fiducial region defined by b-jet p_{
