Le modele des contours actifs [6,2,7] est un des modeles variationnels de segmentation les plus connus en traitement d'images. Cependant, ce modele est limite par l'existence de minima locaux qui rend la condition initiale critique pour obtenir des resulta ...

We consider images probed through incomplete and noisy Fourier coverages, both in the context of radio interferometry (RI) and of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). We show that the quality of signal reconstruction can be significantly enhanced by the introd ...

Advanced neuroinformatics tools are required for methods of connectome mapping, analysis, and visualization. The inherent multi-modality of connectome datasets poses new challenges for data organization, integration, and sharing. We have designed and imple ...

A new generation of optical devices that generate images covering a larger part of the field of view than conventional cameras, namely catadioptric cameras, is slowly emerging. These omnidirectional images will most probably deeply impact computer vision i ...

In this paper we describe the acquisition and content of a new large, realistic and challenging multi-modal database intended for training and testing multi-modal verification systems. The BANCA database was captured in four European languages in two modalities (face and voice). For recording, both high and low quality microphones and cameras were used. The subjects were recorded in three different scenarios, controlled, degraded and adverse over a period of three months. In total 208 people were captured,

This paper presents a robust algorithm for the registration of airborne video sequences with reference images from a different source (airborne or satellite), based on phase-correlation. Phase-correlations using Fourier-Melin Invariant (FMI) descriptors al ...

Segmenting histology images into diagnostically relevant regions is imperative to support timely and reliable decisions by pathologists. To this end, computer-aided techniques have been proposed to delineate relevant regions in scanned histology slides. Ho ...

In this paper we present a generalization of geometric moments in scale-spaces derived from the general heat diffusion equation, with a particular interest for the

Ultrasound segmentation is a challenging problem due to the inherent speckle and some artifacts like shadows, attenuation and signal dropout. Existing methods need to include strong priors like shape priors or analytical intensity models to succeed in the ...

We propose a new method for performing active contour segmentation based on the statistical prior knowledge of the object to detect. From a binary training set of objects, a statistical map describes the possible shapes of the object by computing the proba ...

We propose a compressive sensing algorithm that exploits geometric properties of images to recover images of high quality from few measurements. The image reconstruction is done by iterating the two following steps: 1) estimation of normal vectors of the i ...

In multiple testing, a variety of control metrics have been introduced such as the family-wise error rate (FWER), the False Discovery Rate (FDR), False Exceedence Rate (FER), etc. We found a way to embed these metrics into a continuous family of control me ...

We present a voxel-wise Bayesian multi-compartment T2 relaxometry fitting method based on Hamiltonian Markov Chain Monte Carlo (HMCMC) sampling. The T 2 spectrum is modeled as a mixture of truncated Gaussian components, which involves the estimation of par ...
