The electron transport layer (ETL) is a crucial component of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) as it greatly influences their photovoltaic performance. Among various currently used ETL materials, SnO₂ stands out due to its unique advantages, including low‐temp ...

Stable quasi-solid-state dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) were fabricated by using room-temperature molten salts (1-methyl-3-hexyl-imidazolium iodide), and a series of diamine derivatives with different lengths of alkyl chain as low molecular mass organog ...

We present a photoanode for dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC) based on ZnO nanoshell deposited by atomic layer deposition at 150°C, on a mesoporous insulating template. An ultrathin layer of ZnO between 3 and 6 nm, which exhibits quantum confinement effect, ...

We have designed and developed an unsymmetrical zinc phthalocyanine (TT9) sensitizer that consists of three tert-butyl and two carboxylic acid groups that act as "push'' and "pull'', respectively. The two carboxylic acid groups graft the sensitizer onto th ...

Salt passivation of perovskite often results in formation of 2D perovskite layers, which impaired charge transport behaviour. Here, the authors study the energy barrier of 2D perovskite formation upon passivation by different iodide salt, and provide insig ...

Turn-on time is a key factor for lighting devices to be of practical application. To decrease the turn-on time value of a deep-red light-emitting electrochemical cells (DR-LECs), two novel approaches based on molecularly engineered ruthenium phenanthroimid ...

Here we present the photovoltaic performance of solid-state dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) using a series of ullazine-based metal-free organic sensitizers and spiro-MeOTAD as a hole-transport material. A maximum of 4.95% power conversion efficiency meas ...

Controlling the growth of perovskite crystals has been one of the interesting strategies to mold their fundamental properties and exploit their potential in the fabrication of high performance solar cells. Herein, the impact of chloride on the conversion o ...

Techniques of TiO2 film fabrication for dye-sensitized solar cells having a conversion efficiency of global air mass 1.5 (AM 1.5, 1000 W/m(2)) solar light to electric power over 10% are reported. Newly implemented fabrication technologies consist of pre-tr ...

In this work, we synthesized novel hole transporting materials (HTMs) and studied their impact on the stability of perovskite-based solar cells (PSCs). The steady-state maximum power output of devices in working condition was monitored to assess the stabil ...

A ruthenium complex trans-[Ru(L)(NCS)2], L ) 4,4¢¢¢-di- tert-butyl-4¢,4¢¢-bis(carboxylic acid)-2,2¢:6¢,2¢¢:6¢¢,2¢¢¢- quaterpyridine (N886), was synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic and electrochemical methods. The absorption spectrum of the N886 ...

Two structural isomers of carbazole decorated with triarylamine have been designed and synthesized with a facile synthetic procedure. The impact of triarylamine substitution on the isomeric structural linkage of carbazole on the optical, thermal, electroch ...

Nanoporous layers of poly(3,4-propylenedioxythiophene) (PProDOT) were fabricated by electrical-field-assisted growth using hydrophobic ionic liquids as the growing medium. A series of PProDoT layers was prepared with three different ionic liquids to contro ...

A set of three N,N-di-p-methoxyphenylamine-substituted pyrene derivatives have successfully been synthesized and characterized by H-1/C-13 NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis. The optical and electronic structures of the pyrene deri ...

A novel heteroleptic ruthenium complex carrying a heteroaromatic-4,4'-pi-conjugated 2,2'-bipyridine [Ru(II)LL'(NCS)(2)] (L = 4,4'-bis[(E)-2-(3,4-ethylenedioxythien-2-yl)vinyl]-2,2'-bipyridine, L' = 4,4'-(dicarboxylic acid)-2,2'-bipyridine) was synthesized ...

Passivation of perovskite films by ionic liquids (ILs)improves the performance (efficiency and stability) of perovskitesolar cells (PSCs). However, the role of ILs in the passivation ofperovskitefilms is not fully understood. Here, we report thereactions o ...

The present invention relates to a compound of formula (I) based on carbazole substituted by diphenylamine and used as organic hole conductors or hole transporting material in a optoelectronic or photoelectrochemical device. (I), D being being selected fro ...

Cation compositional engineering has revealed a powerful design tool to manipulate the perovskite structural and optoelectronic characteristics with a tremendous impact on device performances. Tuning the bandgap by cation and anion compositional mixing, fo ...
