Despite their synthetic interest and potential attractive properties, the preparation of heteroleptic U(III) complexes containing monodentate ligands remains challenging. Here we report the synthesis, structure and magnetic properties of three heteroleptic ...

Colloidal nanocrystals (NCs) are active materials in different applications, wherein their shape dictates their properties, such as optical or catalytic properties, and, thus, their performance. Hence, learning to tune the NC shape is an important goal in ...

CO2 mineralization products are often heralded as having outstanding potentials to reduce CO2-eq. emissions. However, these claims are generally undermined by incomplete consideration of the life cycle climate change impacts, material properties, supply an ...

NMR spectroscopy is a very powerful tool for investigating chemical systems at the atomic level because of its ability to provide information on the local environment and dynamics of the nuclei. Because of this, NMR has become one of the most popular analy ...

Ammonia (NH3) is a promising fuel for use in marine applications due to its favorable chemical properties. However, emissions of especially nitrous oxide (N2O), with a global warming potential (GWP) of 273, pose a significant barrier to the adoption of NH3 ...

In this work we demonstrate a new process for precisely encapsulating nanoliters of aqueous solution in a microcapsule. Microcapsules were fabricated by twophoton polymerization and subsequently filled and sealed by inkjet printing. Our new approach overco ...

Understanding the role of multimetallic cooperativity and of alkali ion-binding in the second coordination sphere is important for the design of complexes that can promote dinitrogen (N-2) cleavage and functionalization. Herein, we compare the reaction pro ...

Achieving control in the design of monolayer 2D functional catalysts represents a significant challenge. If that challenge is surmounted, coordinated single-metal-atom sites can offer tailored electronic configuration, ligation geometries, chemical activit ...
