The Ξ_{b}^{0(-)}→Ξ_{c}(3055)^{+(0)}(→D^{+(0)}Λ)π^{-} decay chains are observed, and the spin-parity of Ξ_{c}(3055)^{+(0)} baryons is determined for the first time. The measurement is performed using proton-proton collision data at a center-of-mass energy o ...

The ratio of prompt production cross-sections of ψ(2S) and J/ψ mesons in their dimuon final state is measured as a function of centrality, using data collected by the LHCb detector in PbPb collisions at

\sqrt{s_{\textrm{NN}}}

= 5.02 TeV, for the first ...

A search for radiative decay of Bs0 mesons to orbitally excited K+K− states is performed using proton proton collisions recorded by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb−1. The dikaon spectrum in the mass range mKK < 2400 M ...

The Review summarizes much of particle physics and cosmology. Using data from previous editions, plus 2,717 new measurements from 869 papers, we list, evaluate, and average measured properties of gauge bosons and the recently discovered Higgs boson, lepton ...

Jet fragmentation functions are measured for the first time in proton-proton collisions for charged pions, kaons, and protons within jets recoiling against a Z boson. The charged-hadron distributions are studied longitudinally and transversely to the jet d ...

Quantum chromodynamics, the theory of the strong force, describes interactions of coloured quarks and gluons and the formation of hadronic matter. Conventional hadronic matter consists of baryons and mesons made of three quarks and quark-antiquark pairs, r ...

A study of A(b)(0) baryon decays to the DpK(-) final state is presented based on a proton-proton collision data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb(-1) collected with the LHCb detector. Two A(b)(0) decays are considered, A(b)(0) -> DpK ...

A flavour-tagged time-dependent angular analysis of B-s(0) -> J/Psi phi decays is presented where the J/Psi meson is reconstructed through its decay to an e(+)e(-) pair. The analysis uses a sample of pp collision data recorded with the LHCb experiment at c ...

We investigate collisional decay of the axial charge in an electron-photon plasma at temperatures 10 MeV-100 GeV. We demonstrate that the decay rate of the axial charge is first order in the fine-structure constant Gamma(flip) proportional to am(e)(2)/T an ...

A measurement of the CP asymmetry in D-0 -> (KSKS0)-K-0 decays is reported, based on a data sample of proton-proton collisions collected by the LHCb experiment from 2015 to 2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6 fb(-1). The flavor of the D-0 ...

A common approach used to mitigate riverbank erosion and maintain watercourse alignments has been through the application of riprap or larger, more stable particles to channel boundaries along reaches of interest. However, very often, these large particles ...

A study of the production of prompt mesons contained in jets in proton-proton collisions at is presented. The analysis is based on data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.1 fb−1 collected with the CMS detector at the LHC. For events with at le ...

A search is presented for τ slepton pairs produced in proton–proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13. The search is carried out in events containing two τ leptons in the final state, on the assumption that each τ slepton decays primarily to a τ ...

Using pp collision data corresponding to 1.0 fb(-1) integrated luminosity collected by the LHCb detector, two narrow states are observed in the Lambda(0)(b) pi(+) pi(-) spectrum with masses 5911.97 +/- 0.12(stat) +/- 0.02(syst) +/- 0.66(Lambda(0)(b) mass) ...

We decoupled electron-transfer dissociation (ETD) and collision-induced dissociation of charge-reduced species (CRCID) events to probe the lifetimes of intermediate radical species in ETD-based ion trap tandem mass spectrometry of peptides. Short-lived int ...
