The eyeWatch(TM) is a new glaucoma drainage device that includes an adjustable mechanism that can vary the resistance to aqueous humor outflow during the postoperative period to reduce the burden of postoperative intraocular pressure (IOP) management. The ...

In this work, we present a novel technique to locate partial discharge (PD) sources based on the concept of time reversal. The localization of the PD sources is of interest for numerous applications, including the monitoring of power transformers, Gas Insu ...

The present invention concerns a magnet-assisted ball drive. The drive comprises a ball and a drive element in contact with the ball. The drive element is arranged to be rotated around its axis of rotation to drive the ball. The ball and the drive element ...

The family of two-dimensional (2D) materials grows day by day, hugely expanding the scope of possible phenomena to be explored in two dimensions, as well as the possible van der Waals (vdW) heterostructures that one can create. Such 2D materials currently ...

We study the kinematics of correlation functions of local and extended operators in a conformal field theory. We present a new method for constructing the tensor structures associated to primary operators in an arbitrary bosonic representation of the Loren ...

Hall effect based Teslameters/Gaussmeters measure DC and AC magnetic flux densities in the range from a few mu T to about 30 T. For accurate measurement a 3-axis Hall probe is applied with small magnetic field sensitive volume (MFSV) of 100 mu m x 10 mu m ...

Material costs and novel applications have directed research interests towards miniaturized, faster rotatory electric drives. The challenges of miniaturization have made magnetic bearings more attractive, which are naturally suited for high speeds and virt ...

It is commonly assumed that a wire conducting an electric current is neutral in the laboratory frame of reference (the rest frame of the lattice of positive ions). Some authors consider that the wire is neutral only in a symmetrical frame of reference, in ...

In this paper, a novel configuration of frictionless diamagnetic levitation combined with electrostatic glass motor is presented. A 12.5 mm diameter disc shaped rotor comprised of pyrolytic graphite and glass is fabricated. The rotor disc is levitated stab ...
