We study the extent to which credit index (CDX) options are priced consistent with S&P 500 (SPX) equity index options. We derive analytical expressions for CDX and SPX options within a structural credit-risk model with stochastic volatility and jumps using ...

Generative language models (LMs) have become omnipresent across data science. For a wide variety of tasks, inputs can be phrased as natural language prompts for an LM, from whose output the solution can then be extracted. LM performance has consistently be ...

The production of aluminium largely depends on the use of fossil fuels, resulting in the emission of significant amounts of greenhouse gases. As the aluminium industry is working towards decreasing its environmental burdens, the elimination of direct emiss ...

We introduce and derive the Fourier -enhanced 3D electrostatic field solver of the gyrokinetic full -f PIC code PICLS. The solver makes use of a Fourier representation in one periodic direction of the domain to make the solving of the system easily paralle ...

Modern power distribution systems are experiencing a large-scale integration of Converter-Interfaced Distributed Energy Resources (CIDERs). Their presence complicates the analysis and mitigation of harmonics, whose creation and propagation may be amplified ...

We prove a sharp quantitative version of the Faber–Krahn inequality for the short-time Fourier transform (STFT). To do so, we consider a deficit which measures by how much the STFT of a function fails to be optimally concentrated on an arbitrary set of pos ...

In this article, we account for the liquidity risk in the underlying assets when pricing European exchange options, which has not been considered in the literature. An Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process with the mean -reversion property is selected to model the ma ...

In this thesis we present three closed form approximation methods for portfolio valuation and risk management. The first chapter is titled ``Kernel methods for portfolio valuation and risk management'', and is a joint work with Damir Filipovi'c (SFI and ...

Technology supporting meditation is a multimillion-dollar market that continues to grow. There is also strong academic interest to understand and improve the impact technology can have for the user experience of practitioners. However, little work investig ...

This dataset complements the article "Frequency regulation with storage: On losses and profits" by Dirk Lauinger, François Vuille, and Daniel Kuhn, available at https://arxiv.org/abs/2306.02987. The dataset contains the following files: 1.

Intelligent fault diagnosis has been increasingly improved with the evolution of deep learning (DL) approaches. Recently, the emerging graph neural networks (GNNs) have also been introduced in the field of fault diagnosis with the goal to make better use o ...

The sequence of codes Serpent/DYN3D has been developed by the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf and successfully applied to core static and transient analyses of sodium-cooled fast reactors (SFRs). The successful application of the sequence to SFRs was ...

This dataset originates from the DCML corpus initiative and contains musicological research data. For more information, please refer to its documentation page https://dcmlab.github.io/debussy_piano Please cite this dataset as Laneve, S., Schaerf ...

Claude Debussy’s personal style is typically characterised as a departure from earlier diatonic tonality, including a greater variety of pitch-class materials organised in fragmented yet coherent compositions. Exploiting the music-theoretical interpretabil ...

We generalize and provide a linear algebra-based perspective on a finite element (FE) ho-mogenization scheme, pioneered by Schneider et al. (2017)[1] and Leuschner and Fritzen (2018)[2]. The efficiency of the scheme is based on a preconditioned, well-scale ...

Chatter is a harmful self-excited vibration that commonly occurs during milling processes. Data -driven chatter detection and prediction is critical to achieve high surface quality and process efficiency. Most existing chatter detection approaches are base ...

Fast camera imaging is used to study ion acoustic waves propagating azimuthally in a magnetized plasma column. The high-speed image sequences are analyzed using proper orthogonal decomposition and 2D Fourier transform, allowing to evaluate the assets and d ...

We characterize the unique equilibrium in an economy populated by strategic CARA investors who trade multiple risky assets with arbitrarily distributed payoffs. We use our explicit solution to study the joint behavior of illiquidity of option contracts. Op ...

This thesis focuses on non-parametric covariance estimation for random surfaces, i.e.~functional data on a two-dimensional domain. Non-parametric covariance estimation lies at the heart of functional data analysis, and considerations of statistical and com ...

This article derives a closed-form pricing formula for European exchange options under a non-Gaussianframework for the underlying assets, intending to resolve mispricing associated with a geometric Brownianmotion. The dynamics of each of the two correlated ...
