Rationale and objectives: To prospectively evaluate feasibility and robustness of an accelerated T2 mapping sequence (GRAPPATINI) in brain imaging and to assess its synthetic T2-weighted images (sT2w) in comparison with a standard T2-weighted sequence (T2 ...

To answer the growing demand for hardware acceleration, Amazon, Microsoft, and many other major cloud service providers have included field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) in their datacenters. However, researchers have shown that cloud FPGAs, when shared ...

Data augmentation has proven its usefulness to improve model generalization and performance. While it is commonly applied in computer vision application when it comes to multi-view systems, it is rarely used. Indeed geometric data augmentation can break th ...

The past decades have witnessed rapid growth in imaging as a major form of communication between individuals. Due to recent advances in capture, storage, delivery and display technologies, consumers demand improved perceptual quality while requiring reduce ...

The demise of Moore's Law and Dennard scaling has resulted in diminishing performance gains for general-purpose processors, and so has prompted a surge in academic and commercial interest for hardware accelerators. Specialized hardware has already redefine ...

The visible camera system EDICAM (Event Detection Intelligent Camera), recently installed on JT-60SA, is simulated to assess whether it can be used for measuring synchrotron radiation from relativistic runaway electrons. In this simulation, the SOFT synthe ...

We consider the problem of compressing an information source when a correlated one is available as side information only at the decoder side, which is a special case of the distributed source coding problem in information theory. In particular, we consider ...

Counting single photons and measuring their arrival time is of crucial importance for imaging and quantum applications that use single photons to outperform classical techniques. The investigation of the coincidence, i.e. correlation, between photons can b ...

Integrated Flow Cell Array (FCA) technology promises to address the power delivery and heat dissipation challenges in three-dimensional Multi Processor Systems-on-Chips (3D MPSoCs) by providing combined inter-tier liquid cooling and power generation capabi ...

A large number of algorithms for multidimensional signals processing and scientific computation come in the form of iterative stencil loops (ISLs), whose data dependencies span across multiple iterations. Because of their complex inner structure, automatic ...
