Acetonitrile solutions of Cu(tmby)22+ exhibit aging-dependent changes of UV–Vis spectra, which were attributed to partial reduction to Cu(tmby)2+. This effect is boosted by the addition of imidazole bases, i.e., N-methyl-benzimidazole (NMB) or 5‑chloro-1-e ...

Ca2Fe2O5 is a p-type semiconductor with properties suitable for potential application as a photocathode in photoelectrochemical water splitting. However, it suffers from poor stability under working conditions that is still not completely understood. In th ...

This dataset accompanies the publication "Quantum-mechanical effects in photoluminescence from thin crystalline gold films" published in Light: Science & Applications (https://doi.org/10.1038/s41377-024-01408-2). The data can be used to reproduce plots 1-4 ...

Many future technologies involve devices fabricated on mobile, wearable, and bio-degradable substrates that are highly flexible, such as plastics or paper. Whenever electronic components are needed for applications in such devices, inorganic semiconductors ...

The OER involves a four-electron transfer and is a kinetically sluggish reaction that requires additional potential to drive. To enhance the electrochemical performance of the above-mentioned applications, highly efficient, corrosion-resistant, earth-abund ...

Molybdenum atomic-doping on bio-waste derived nitrogen-doped conductive carbon electrocatalyst was synthesized and investigated for the dinitrogen reduction to ammonia in alkaline media. The assessment of the catalytic activity was found to be non-trivial ...
