There is a never-ending push for electronic systems to provide faster operation speeds, higher energy efficiencies, and higher power capabilities at smaller scales. These requirements are apparent in different areas of electronics, from radiofrequency (RF) ...

Polymeric semiconductors have gained significant attention in the field of organic electronics due to their unique properties and potential applications. Through their ability to transport charge carriers and to absorb or emit light, they have attracted mu ...

Strain is an inevitable phenomenon in two-dimensional (2D) material, regardless of whether the film is suspended or supported. Moreover, strain is known to alter the physical and chemical properties, such as the band gap, charge carrier effective masses, d ...

In this work, we report the concept and experimentally demonstrate the first tunable ferroelectric (Fe) junctionless (JL) transistor (Fe-JLFET), capable of emulating the functionality of biological tri-partite synapses, which is an artificial three-termina ...

This work presents a study of p-type passivating contacts based on SiCx formed via a rapid thermal processing (RTP) step, using conditions compatible with the firing used to sinter screen-printed metallization pastes in industry. The contributions of the t ...

Semiconductor materials have given rise to today's digital technology and consumer electronics. Widespread adoption is closely linked to the ability to process and integrate them in devices at scale. Where flexibility and large surfaces are required, such ...

Dielectric elastomer actuators (DEA) are elastic capacitors composed of a pair of compliant electrodes and a soft dielectric elastomer film sandwiched in between. This kind of stretchable capacitors can be actuated when charged, can generate electricity fr ...

Transition-metal dichalcogenide bilayers exhibit a rich exciton landscape including layer-hybridized excitons, i.e. excitons which are of partly intra- and interlayer nature. In this work, we study hybrid exciton-exciton interactions in naturally stacked W ...

A time-resolved multi-gate ion sensitive field effect transducer, including a silicon layer, a P-doped region in the silicon layer and a first electrode in electric connection with the P doped region, a N-doped region in the silicon layer and a second elec ...
