The development of a high current baseline scenario (I-p=3.5MA, q(95)approximate to 3.0, beta(N)

A measurement of the Higgs boson mass and width via its decay to two Z bosons is presented. Proton-proton collision data collected by the CMS experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138 fb(-1) at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, is used. ...

By analysing e + e − annihilation data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 368.48 pb −1 collected at the centre-of-mass energies of

= 4.918 and 4.951 GeV with the BESIII detector, we report the first observation of Λ c (2595)+ and Λ c ...

A dual-frequency gyrotron has been developed within the context of the recent Tokamak à Configuration Variable (TCV) upgrade. The gyrotron is designed to generate a 1 MW, 2 seconds RF wave at 84 or 126 GHz. Before integrating the gyrotrons in the TCV tokam ...

A search for beyond the standard model spin-0 bosons, phi, that decay into pairs of electrons, muons, or tau leptons is presented. The search targets the associated production of such bosons with a W or Z gauge boson, or a top quark-antiquark pair, and use ...

We study confining dark sectors where the lightest hadrons are glueballs. Such models can provide viable dark matter candidates and appear in some neutral naturalness scenarios. In this work, we introduce a new phenomenological model of dark glueball hadro ...

The short de Broglie wavelength and strong interaction empower free electrons to probe structures and excitations in materials and biomolecules. Recently, electron-photon interactions have enabled new optical manipulation schemes for electron beams. In thi ...

Position and time measurements of scintillation events encode information about the radiation source. Single photon avalanche diode (SPAD) arrays offer multiple-megapixel spatial resolution and tens of picoseconds temporal resolution for detecting single p ...

Three years of experiments on SPIDER allowed characterization of the main features of the source plasma and of the negative ion beam, in the original design configuration. For the large dimensions of the source chamber, and of the extraction area, the inve ...

In Izzo et al (2022 Nucl. Fusion 62 096029), state-of-the-art modeling of thermal and current quench (CQ) magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) coupled with a self-consistent evolution of runaway electron (RE) generation and transport showed that a non-axisymmetric ( ...

The interpretation of cosmic antiproton flux mea- surements from space-borne experiments is currently limited by the knowledge of the antiproton production cross-section in collisions between primary cosmic rays and the interstel- lar medium. Using collisi ...

EOS is an open-source software for a variety of computational tasks in flavor physics. Its use cases include theory predictions within and beyond the Standard Model of particle physics, Bayesian inference of theory parameters from experimental and theoreti ...

We report the first direct measurement of the inclusive branching fraction B(B-s -> DsX) via B-s tagging in e(+)e(-) -> gamma(5S) events. Tagging is accomplished through a partial reconstruction of semileptonic decays B-s -> D(s)Xl nu, where X denotes unre ...
