With the advancement of high harmonic generation and X-ray free-electron lasers (XFELs) to the attosecond domain, the studies of the ultrafast electron and spin dynamics became possible. Yet, the methods for efficient control and measurement of the quantum ...

Coherent perfect absorption (CPA), or anti-lasing, has been so far inherently restricted to continuous wave scenarios, drastically restricting its applications to standard linear steady-state systems. However, future technologies based on enhanced light-ma ...

Spin wave nonreciprocity is crucial for signal processing in magnonic circuits. Domain walls (DWs) have been suggested as channels for nonreciprocal spin waves (magnons) with directional‐dependent properties. However, the experimental investigations are ch ...

Molecular behavior can change dramatically at interfaces, and these changes become even more pronounced when molecules are confined within nanoscale dimensions. In living organisms, nanoscale channels play a crucial role in selectively transporting molecul ...

We demonstrate continuous-wave parametric amplifier w ith a 1 40 n m gain bandwidth spanning the optical S,C, and L-bands and up to 25 dB off-chip net-gain in a dispersion engineered gallium phosphide-on-insulator (GaPOI) waveguide with up to 160 mW output ...

Applications in photodetection, photochemistry, and active metamaterials and metasurfaces require fundamental understanding of ultrafast nonthermal and thermal electron processes in metallic nanosystems. Significant progress has been recently achieved in s ...

Nanomaterial surfaces can be engineered by chemical modifications for the modulation of various surface properties including surface charges, hydrophobicity and chemical reactivity. These properties modulate in turn the interactions between the nanomateria ...

Coherent collective oscillations of electrons excited in metallic nanostructures (localized surface plasmons) can confine incident light to atomic scales and enable strong light-matter interactions, which depend nonlinearly on the local field. Direct sampl ...

The electron cyclotron (EC) heating & current drive (H&CD) system on ITER provides plasma heating by generating, transmitting, and launching high-intensity, high-frequency (170 GHz) electromagnetic wave energy steerable across the plasma cross-section. The ...
