The thesis describes the utilization of dative boron-nitrogen bond is used for the construction of new materials. In chapter 2.1, the synthesis of new organogels based on bisimidazolyl ligands and diboronate esters is described. Gels with a critical gel co ...

In this work, the antimicrobial effects of the photo-Fenton process on yeast cells were tested (Saccharomyces cerevisiae), an essential eukaryotic unicellular model of living cells. Near-neutral pH was used in all studies, while iron sulfate and iron citra ...

Dative boron–nitrogen bonds can be used for the controlled assembly of boronate esters and N-donor ligands. So far, most investigations have focused on crystalline assemblies. In contrast, there are very few reports about soft materials based on dative B–N ...

Supramolecular rubbers incorporating a large number of physical cross-links through cooperative hydrogen bonds display high self-healing properties but limited solvent and creep resistance due to the lack of chemical cross-links. Increasing both chemical c ...

H-1 NMR has been used to characterise white Portland cement paste incorporating 10 wt.% of silica fume. Samples were measured sealed throughout the hydration without sample drying. Paste compositions and C-S-H characteristics are calculated based on H-1 NM ...

In a current procedure for periodontal tissue regeneration, enamel matrix derivative (EMD), which is the active component, is mixed with a propylene glycol alginate (PGA) gel carrier and applied directly to the periodontal defect. Exposure of EMD to physio ...

Proteomics has been one of the main projects challenging biological and analytical chemists for many years. The separation, identification and quantification of all the proteins expressed within biological systems remain the main objectives of proteomics. ...

Gel electrophoresis has been used for decades as a high-resolution separation technique for proteins and protein isomers, but limited in the coupling with MS because of low throughput and poor automaticity compared with LC-MS. In this work, we have develop ...

The nanoscale morphology of, and pore water interactions in, calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H), the active component of cement, remain uncertain. H-1 nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) can fully characterize the nanoporosity of C-S-H in as-prepared material w ...
