In this paper, we study the interactions of electromagnetic waves with a non-dispersive dynamic medium that is temporally dependent. Electromagnetic fields under material time-modulation conserve their momentum but not their energy. We assume a time-variat ...

We study the kinematics of correlation functions of local and extended operators in a conformal field theory. We present a new method for constructing the tensor structures associated to primary operators in an arbitrary bosonic representation of the Loren ...

We apply numerical conformal bootstrap techniques to the four-point function of a Weyl spinor in 4d non-supersymmetric CFTs. We find universal bounds on operator dimensions and OPE coefficients, including bounds on operators in mixed symmetry representatio ...

We present a lattice formulation of an interaction phi/Lambda F (F) over tilde between an axion and some U(1) gauge sector with the following properties: it reproduces the continuum theory up to O(dx(mu)(2)) corrections, it preserves exact gauge invariance ...

Instead of Lorentz invariance, gravitational degrees of freedom may obey Lifshitz scaling at high energies, as it happens in Horava's proposal for quantum gravity. We study consequences of this proposal for the spectra of primordial perturbations generated ...

We report a measurement of the mass difference between neutral charm-meson eigenstates using a novel approach that enhances sensitivity to this parameter. We use 2.3 x 10(6) D-0 -> K-S(0)pi(+)pi(-) decays reconstructed in proton-proton collisions collected ...

We construct and study supersymmetric extension of the Einstein-aether gravitational theory. Using superfield formalism we carry out unique linearized Lorentz violating supergravity action invariant under super-gauge transformations and obtain its bosonic ...

In scale-invariant theories of gravity the Planck mass M-p, which appears due to spontaneous symmetry breaking, can be the only scale at the classical level. It was argued that the second scale can be generated by a quantum nonperturbative gravitational ef ...

In this paper, we verify the large scale structure consistency relations using N-body simulations, including modes in the highly nonlinear regime. These relations (pointed out by Kehagias & Riotto and Peloso & Pietroni) follow from the symmetry of the dyna ...

The time reversal invariance of classical dynamics is reconsidered in this paper with specific focus on its consequences for time correlation functions and associated properties such as transport coefficients. We show that, under fairly common assumptions ...

We consider two theories undergoing the same spontaneous symmetry breaking pattern but with different representations of an order parameter under the Lorentz group. The effective description of the first theory includes a massive Nambu-Goldstone field, whi ...
