We report a new measurement of the e(+)e(-)-> Upsilon(nS)pi(+)pi(-) (n = 1, 2, 3) cross sections at energies from 10.52 to 11.02 GeV using data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. We observe a new structure in ...

We report the results of a search for the B -> Y(4260)K, Y(4260) -> J/psi pi(+)pi thorn p-decays. This study is based on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 711 fb(-1), collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector a ...

The seismic assessment of masonry buildings, both modern unreinforced masonry (URM) buildings and historical heritage constructions, is a complex task, characterised by a several sources of uncertainty, which regard the appropriate modelling of strategy th ...

We report measurements of the branching fractions of the decays Lambda(+)(c) -> Sigma(+)pi(-)pi(+), Lambda(+)(c) -> Sigma(0)pi(+)pi(0) and Lambda(+)(c) -> Sigma(+)pi(0)pi(0) relative to the reference channel Lambda(+)(c) -> pK(-)p(+). The analysis is based ...

A method is proposed to measure the photon polarisation parameter.. in b. s. transitions using an amplitude analysis of B. Kpp. decays. Simplified models of the Kpp system are used to simulate B+. K+ p -p+. and B0. K+ p -p0. decays, validate the amplitude ...

For many developed countries, the asset management of aging infrastructure continues to present challenges and risks. Around the world, built-environment assets such as bridges, require functional changes and future-proofing in order to accommodate new and ...

The production fractions of (B) over bar (0)(s) and Lambda(0)(b) hadrons, normalized to the sum of B- and (B) over bar (0) fractions, arc measured in 13 TeV pp collisions using data collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosit ...

We report the results of a search for the rare, purely leptonic decay B- -> mu(-)(nu) over bar (mu) performed with a 711 fb(-1) data sample that contains 772 x 10(6) B (B) over bar pairs, collected near the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at ...

Model-based data interpretation has the potential to increase knowledge of structural behavior and support asset management. Models are usually conservative and contain many parameters and sources of systematic uncertainty, which need to be taken into acco ...

We report the first observation of the radiative charm decay D-0 -> rho(0)gamma and the first search for CP violation in decays D-0 -> rho(0)gamma, phi gamma, and (K) over bar (*0)(892)gamma, using a data sample of 943 fb(-1) collected with the Belle detec ...

The branching fractions of the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decays D+ ! K, D+ ! and D+ s ! are measured using the decays D+ ! K and D+ s ! K as normalisation channels. The measurements are performed using proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb d ...
