Transparent conductive oxides (TCOs) are essential in technologies coupling light and electricity. Due to their good optoelectronic properties and the production scalability, Sn-doped indium oxide (In2O3:Sn) is the preferred TCO in industrial applications. ...

Although charge‐carrier selectivity in conventional crystalline silicon (c‐Si) solar cells is usually realized by doping Si, the presence of dopants imposes inherent performance limitations due to parasitic absorption and carrier recombination. The develop ...

Today more than 90% of the global PV market is covered by c-Si solar cells which are limited by recombination losses at the metal-semiconductor interface. This recombination path can be avoided by separating the metal from the c-Si wafer by introducing a b ...

Recently, the charge carrier transport mechanism of passivating contacts, which feature an ultra-thin oxide layer, has been investigated by studying temperature-dependent current-voltage (I-V) characteristics. The measurement revealed that tunneling is the ...

Perovskite solar cells have rapidly revolutionized the photovoltaic research showing an im-pressively dynamic progress on power conversion efficiency from 3.8 to 22% in only several years, a record for a nascent technology. Furthermore, inexpensive precurs ...

Understanding the electron scattering mechanisms dominating transport in high and low mobility transparent conducting oxides can provide insight into improving the properties of this crucial photovoltaic device layer. Contributions from ionized impurity sc ...

Hole transport matertial (HTM) as charge selective layer in perovskite solar cells (PSCs) plays an important role in achieving high power conversion efficiency (PCE). It is known that the dopants and additives are necessary in the HTM in order to improve t ...

Organic semiconductor materials have been widely applied in optoelectronic devices to replace their inorganic counterparts and explore new fields of applications. Due to their high extinction coefficients, chemical tunability and solubility, cyanine dyes a ...

Many practical applications among organic electronic devices have been demonstrated over the last decades. They are considered as promising alternatives to inorganic semiconductor technologies due to the potential of cost-effective fabrication, excellent p ...
