Visual perception is indispensable for many real-world applications. However, perception models deployed in the real world will encounter numerous and unpredictable distribution shifts, for example, changes in geographic locations, motion blur, and adverse ...

For people with limited mobility, navigating in cluttered indoor environment is challenging. In this work, we propose a mobile assistive furniture suite that is designed to ease the life of people with special needs in indoor movement. To enable intelligen ...

Dynamical System (DS)-based closed-loop control is a simple and effective way to generate reactive motion policies that well generalize to the robotic workspace, while retaining stability guarantees. Lately the formalism has been expanded in order to handl ...

A critical operational challenge in Mobility-on-demand systems is the problem of imbalance between vehicle supply and passenger demand. However, conventional model-based methods require accurate parametric system models with complex nonlinear dynamics that ...

We present a robust model predictive control (MPC) framework for linear systems facing bounded parametric uncertainty and bounded disturbances. Our approach deviates from standard MPC formulations by integrating multi-step predictors, which provide reduced ...

We propose a method for adapting neural networks to distribution shifts at test-time. In contrast to training-time robustness mechanisms that attempt to anticipate and counter the shift, we create a closed-loop system and make use of test-time feedback sig ...

The progress towards intelligent systems and digitalization relies heavily on the use of automation technology. However, the growing diversity of control objects presents significant challenges for traditional control approaches, as they are highly depende ...

Control design for robotic systems is complex and often requires solving an optimization to follow a trajectory accurately. Online optimization approaches like Model Predictive Control (MPC) have been shown to achieve great tracking performance, but requir ...

Ridesourcing has driven a lot of attention in recent years with the expansion of companies like Uber, Lift, and many others around the world. Companies use mobile applications connected through the internet to match drivers and their passengers real-time. ...

In-network devices around the world monitor and tamper with connections for many reasons, including intrusion prevention, combating spam or phishing, and country-level censorship. Connection tampering seeks to block access to specific domain names or keywo ...
