This paper describes a deterministic and parallel implementation of the VPR routability-driven router for FPGAs. We considered two parallefization strategies: (1) routing multiple nets in parallel; and (2) routing one net at a time, while parallelizing the ...

In this work we introduce a new two-level preconditioner for the efficient solution of large-scale linear systems arising from the discretization of parametrized PDEs. The proposed preconditioner combines in a multiplicative way a reduced basis solver, whi ...

In the strong scaling limit, the performance of conventional spatial domain decomposition techniques for the parallel solution of PDEs saturates. When sub-domains become small, halo-communication and other overheard come to dominate. A potential path beyon ...

Dynamic fragmentation is a rapid and catastrophic failure of a material. During this process, the nucleation, propagation, branching, and coalescence of cracks results in the formation of fragments. The numerical modeling of this phenomenon is challenging ...

We previously introduced a preconditioner that has proven effective for hp-FEM dis- cretizations of various challenging elliptic and hyperbolic problems. The construc- tion is inspired by standard nested dissection, and relies on the assumption that the Sc ...

We introduce a preconditioner based on a hierarchical low-rank compression scheme of Schur complements. The construction is inspired by standard nested dissection, and relies on the assumption that the Schur complements can be approximated, to high precisi ...

We analyze the numerical performance of a preconditioning technique recently proposed in [1] for the efficient solution of parametrized linear systems arising from the finite element (FE) discretization of parameter-dependent elliptic partial differential ...

Modern computing systems are based on multi-processor systems, i.e. multiple cores on the same chip. Hard real-time systems are required to perform particular tasks within certain amount of time; failure to do so characterises an unaccepted behavior. Hard ...

Modeling Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) in the vascular system is mandatory to reliably compute mechanical indicators in vessels undergoing large deformations. In order to cope with the computational complexity of the coupled 3D FSI problem after discre ...
