This paper discusses and analyzes two domain decomposition approaches for electromagnetic problems that allow the combination of domains discretized by either Nédélec-type polynomial finite elements or spline-based isogeometric analysis. The first approach ...

This paper presents an accuracy-preserving p-weighted limiter for discontinuous Galerkin methods on one-dimensional and two-dimensional triangular grids. The p-weighted limiter is the extension of the second-order WENO limiter by Li et al. [W. Li, J. Pan a ...

In this paper we propose a new, purely algebraic, Petrov-Galerkin reduced basis (RB) method to solve the parametrized Stokes equations, where parameters serve to identify the (variable) domain geometry. Our method is obtained as an algebraic least squares ...

This work focuses on the development of a non-conforming method for the coupling of PDEs based on weakly imposed transmission conditions: the continuity of the global solution is enforced by a finite number of Lagrange multipliers defined over the interfac ...

In this work, we set up a new, general, and computationally efficient way to tackle parametrized fluid flows modeled through unsteady Navier-Stokes equations defined on domains with variable shape, when relying on the reduced basis method. We easily descri ...

We introduce a two-level preconditioner for the efficient solution of large scale saddle point linear systems arising from the finite element (FE) discretization of parametrized Stokes equations. This preconditioner extends the Multi Space Reduced Basis (M ...

In stratified natural waters, convective processes tend to form nearly homogeneous mixed layers. However, shear‐driven turbulence generated by large‐scale background flow often rapidly smooths them through mixing with the stratified surroundings. Here we s ...

Mixing-length models are often used by engineers in order to take into account turbulence phenomena in a flow. This kind of model is obtained by adding a turbulent viscosity to the laminar one in Navier-Stokes equations. When the flow is confined between t ...

In this paper we propose a saddle point approach to solve boundary control problems for the steady Navier-Stokes equations with mixed Dirichlet-Neumann boundary conditions, both in two and three dimensions. We provide a comprehensive theoretical framework ...
