We perform the first amplitude analysis of Ds+→π+π+π-π0 decays based on data samples of electron-positron collisions recorded with the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between 4.128 and 4.226 GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 7.33 ...

Measurements of CP observables and the CKM angle γ are performed in B ± → DK * (892) ± decays, where D represents a superposition of D 0 and

{\overline{D}}^0

states, using the LHCb dataset collected during Run 1 (2011–2012) and Run 2 (2015–2018). A stu ...

Lepton flavor universality in rare b→s transitions is tested for the first time using Bs0 meson decays. The measurements are performed using pp collision data collected by the LHCb experiment between 2011 and 2018, corresponding to a total integrated lumin ...

The processes h(c) -> gamma P (P = eta', eta, pi(0)) are studied with a sample of (27.12 +/- 0.14) x 10(8) psi(3686) events collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The decay h(c) -> gamma eta is observed for the first time with the signifi ...

A search for hidden-charm pentaquark states decaying to a range of ςcD¯ and Λc+D¯ final states, as well as doubly charmed pentaquark states to ςcD and Λc+D, is made using samples of proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of ...

Using 24.1 fb-1 of e(+) e(-) collision data collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, the Born cross sections and effective form factors of the e(+)e(-) -> Sigma(+) Sigma(-) reaction are measured. The measurements are performed at center-o ...

The identification of prompt and isolated muons, as well as muons from heavy -flavour hadron decays, is an important task. We developed two multivariate techniques to provide highly efficient identification for muons with transverse momentum greater than 1 ...

A measurement of CP-violating observables associated with the interference of B0→ D0K⋆(892)0 and B0→D¯0K⋆8920 decay amplitudes is performed in the D0→ K∓π±(π+π−), D0→ π+π−(π+π−), and D0→ K+K− final states using data collected by the LHCb experiment corresp ...

Evidence for the decays B-0 -> (D) over bar (0)phi and B-0 -> (D) over bar (*0) phi is reported with a significance of 3.6 sigma and 4.3 sigma, respectively. The analysis employs pp collision data at centre-of-mass energies root s = 7, 8 and 13TeV collecte ...

The dependence of the ratio between the Bs(0) and B+ hadron production fractions, f(s)/f(u), on the transverse momentum (p(T)) and rapidity of the B mesons is studied using the decay channels B-s(0) -> J/ψϕ and B+ -> J/ψ K+. The analysis uses a data sample ...

Fusion occurs when light nuclei combine to form heavier nuclei. The energy released in this process powers the stars and can provide humankind with a safe, sustainable, and clean source of baseload electricity, a valuable tool in the fight against climate ...

We merge together recent developments in the S-matrix bootstrap program to develop a dual setup in 2 space-time dimensions incorporating scattering amplitudes of massive particles and matrix elements of local operators. In particular, the stress energy ten ...

Gas diffusion electrodes are essential components of common fuel and electrolysis cells but are typically made from graphitic carbon or metallic materials, which do not allow light transmittance and thus limit the development of gas-phase based photoelectr ...

A precision measurement of the ZZ boson production cross-section at s=13s =13 TeV in the forward region is presented, using pppp collision data collected by the LHCb detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.1 fb−1−1. The production cross-s ...

Interacting particle systems play a key role in science and engineering. Access to the governing particle interaction law is fundamental for a complete understanding of such systems. However, the inherent system complexity keeps the particle interaction hi ...

We present a numerical assessment of the thermal-hydraulic performance of the NbTi bus bars designed for the European DEMO. We consider the CS, TF and PF bus bars, as well as two alternative TF options for high-current operations. The main sources of stati ...

Radial electric fields up to similar to 4 kV m(-1) are observed in the boundary between the private flux region (PFR) and the scrape-off layer (SOL) driving E X B drifts between the inner and outer targets at speeds up to 2.8 km s(-1) in the Tokamak a conf ...

A search for CP violation in charmless three-body Xi(-)(b) -> pK(-)K(-) decays is performed using pp collision data recorded with the LHCb detector, corresponding to integrated luminosities of 1 fb(-1) at a center-of-mass energy root S = 7 TeV, 2 fb(-1) at ...
