Electrochemical CO2 reduction (eCO2RR) towards value-added chemicals, powered by renewable electricity, is a promising technology for storing the intermittent renewable energy in the form of chemical bonds. Among the various products of eCO2RR, multi-carbo ...

While the static structure of aqueous electrolytes has been studied for decades, their dynamic microscopic structure remains unresolved yet critical in many areas. We report a comparative study of dc and ac (1 Hz to 20 GHz) conductivity data of weak and st ...

NMR crystallography has been around for half a century, but with the advent of NMR crystal structure determination protocols in the last decade it has shown perspectives that were not seen before. Amalgamation of NMR and crystal structure determination has ...

Aerosol mass spectrometry (AMS) and mid-infrared spectroscopy (MIR) are two analytical methods for characterizing the chemical composition of OM. While AMS provides high-temporal-resolution bulk measurements, the extensive fragmentation during the electron ...

Capturing the surface-structural dynamics of metal electrocatalysts under certain electrochemical environments is intriguingly desired for understanding the behavior of various metal-based electrocatalysts. However, in situ monitoring of the evolution of a ...

We present chemical kinetics measurements of the luminol oxidation chemiluminescence (CL) reaction at the interface between two aqueous solutions, using liquid jet technology. Free-flowing liquid microjets are a relatively recent development that have foun ...

In this thesis we present the design of two setups to study low-energy collisions between neutral species: an electron velocity map imaging for chemi-ionisation reactions and a merged electrostatic guide for polar molecules scattering. In the past few yea ...

The chemi-ionization of Ar, Kr, N2, H2, and D2 by Ne(3P2) and of Ar, Kr, and N2 by He(3S1) was studied by electron velocity map imaging (e-VMI) in a crossed molecular beam experiment. A curved magnetic hexapole was used to state-select the metastable speci ...

Our understanding of the dynamics of charge transfer between solid surfaces and liquid electrolytes has been hampered by the difficulties in obtaining interface, charge, and solvent-specific information at both high spatial and temporal resolution. Here, w ...
