In this reply, we address the concerns that were raised about our paper on CsPbBr3 single crystals. M. Szafranski criticized the dielectric and DSC data in our original paper claiming that they were affected by the experimental artefacts or poor quality of ...

We investigate optical absorption spectra obtained through time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) based on nonempirical hybrid functionals that are designed to correctly reproduce the dielectric function. The comparison with state-of-the-art GW ...

H2O2 is a versatile chemical and can be generated by the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) in proton donor solution in molecular solvents or room temperature ionic liquids (IL). We investigated this reaction at interfaces formed by eleven hydrophobic ILs and ...

Design of medical sensor implants is very challenging due to numerous restrictions in terms of size and biological acceptability. In addition, large absorption and reflection of electromagnetic waves in body tissues significantly degrades the communication ...

We describe a polymeric ionic liquid (PIL) derived from trimethyl(p-vinylbenzyl)ammonium chloride ([VBTAm]Cl) that efficiently catalyzes the N-formylation of amines employing CO2 and PhSiH3 at room temperature with low catalyst loadings in near-quantitativ ...

The response function of CdTe detectors used in a hard X-ray spectrometer system (HXRS) on the TCV tokamak fusion experiment is modeled based on the measured energy spectra from multiple gamma-ray sources. The response function consists of an asymmetric Ga ...

A large amount of experimental and theoretical works deals with the second harmonic generation from different plasmonic geometries. Since they often consider relatively long optical pulses, many of these studies are focused on the investigation of a quasi- ...

Room temperature ionic liquids are salts which are molten at or around room temperature without any added solvent or solution. In bulk they exhibit glass like dependence of conductivity with temperature as well as coupling of structural and transport prope ...

Composites in which particles of ferroelectric ceramic phase are randomly dispersed in a polymeric matrix are of interest because of flexibility, conformability, and ease of processing. However, their piezoelectric properties are rather low, unless very hi ...

Dielectrophoresis (DEP) and electrorotation (ROT) are two electrokinetic phenomena exploiting nonuniform electric fields to exert a force or torque on biological particles suspended in liquid media. They are widely used in lab-on-chip devices for the manip ...

The dielectric properties of tetragonal hybrid perovskite CH3NH3PbI3 are studied through molecular dynamics at a temperature of 300 K in the presence of a finite electric field. The high-frequency dielectric constant epsilon(infinity), is found to be 4.5 a ...

We present SIMPLE, a code developed to calculate optical properties of metallic and insulating extended systems using the optimal basis method originally proposed by E.L. Shirley in 1996. Two different approaches for the evaluation of the complex dielectri ...

Cesium-lead-bromide (CsPbBr3) is the simplest all inorganic halide perovskite. It serves as a reference material for understanding the exceptional solar cell properties of the organic-inorganic hybrid halide perovskites and is itself discussed as an altern ...
