We introduce a “radial” two-point invariant for quantum field theory in de Sitter (dS) analogous to the radial coordinate used in conformal field theory. We show that the two-point function of a free massive scalar in the Bunch-Davies vacuum has an exponen ...

Li-containing argyrodites represent a promising family of Li-ion conductors, with several derived compounds exhibiting room-temperature ionic conductivity >1 mS/cm, making them attractive as potential candidates for electrolytes in solid-state Li-ion batte ...

Improving light-matter interaction through the exploration of engineered environments is pivotal for the development of high-performance quantum devices. Among these, masers -- analogous to lasers -- are crucial for scientific research and practical applic ...

We prove that in any unitary CFT, a twist gap in the spectrum of operator product expansion (OPE) of identical scalar quasiprimary operators (i.e. phi x phi) implies the existence of a family of quasiprimary operators O t,l with spins l ->.infinity and twi ...

Cross-field transport of particles in the boundary region of magnetically confined fusion plasmas is dominated by turbulence. Blobs, intermittent turbulent structures with large amplitude and a filamentary shape appearing in the scrape-off layer (SOL), are ...

Black phosphorus (BP) stands out among two-dimensional(2D) semiconductorsbecause of its high mobility and thickness dependent direct band gap. However, the quasiparticle band structure of ultrathin BP has remainedinaccessible to experiment thus far. Here we ...

In this paper, we describe the potential of the LHCb experiment to detect stealth physics. This refers to dynamics beyond the standard model that would elude searches that focus on energetic objects or precision measurements of known processes. Stealth sig ...

Dispersionless (flat) quantum states is a paradigm shift in condensed matter physics, serving as a natural platform for emergent electronic phases. In this work, we propose the foundation for the new framework addressing the issue of band flatness from qua ...

We consider the imaginary Gaussian multiplicative chaos, i.e. the complex Wick exponential mu(beta ):=: e(i beta Gamma(x)) : for a log-correlated Gaussian field Gamma in d >= 1 dimensions. We prove a basic density result, showing that for any nonzero conti ...

Recent advancement in quantitative liquid-jet photoelectron spectroscopy enables the accurate determination of the absolute-scale electronic energetics of liquids and species in solution. The major objective of the present work is the determination of the ...

DIII-D physics research addresses critical challenges for the operation of ITER and the next generation of fusion energy devices. This is done through a focus on innovations to provide solutions for high performance long pulse operation, coupled with funda ...

Tin-lead (Sn-Pb) mixed perovskite has received widespread attention due to its suitable band gap width and high optical absorption coefficients. However, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of Sn-Pb mixed perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is still low due to ...

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is associated with the development of chronic comorbidities, which can lead to high drug utilization and adverse events. We aimed to identify common comorbidity clusters and explore the progression over time in newly treated ...

Cooling the surface of freshwater bodies, whose temperatures are above the temperature of maximum density, can generate differential cooling between shallow and deep regions. When surface cooling occurs over a long enough period, the thermally induced cros ...

Machine learning (ML) algorithms have undergone an explosive development impacting every aspect of computational chemistry. To obtain reliable predictions, one needs to maintain a proper balance between the black-box nature of ML frameworks and the physics ...

We report the fabrication process and performance characterization of a fully integrated ferroelectric gate stack in a WSe2/SnSe2 Tunnel FETs (TFETs). The energy behavior of the gate stack during charging and discharging, together with the energy loss of a ...

In the raser effect, a sample spontaneously emits continuous radiofrequency radiation, allowing exceptionally narrow NMR line widths to be recorded without applying pulses. To achieve this phenomenon, a large negative magnetization must be induced, which w ...

We report the demonstration of p-NiO layers as junction termination extensions (JTEs) for realizing high-performance GaN power devices. The p-NiO was deposited by RF sputtering, a flexible process which enables to achieve high hole densities. In this work, ...

Shortened dipole antennas based on rectangular dielectric blocks play an important role in ultrahigh field magnetic resonance imaging (UHF-MRI) radio frequency (RF) coil design. However, the generally assumed direct contact with the subject is difficult to ...

The interaction between neutral particles and the plasma plays a key role in determining the dynamics of the tokamak boundary that, in turn, significantly impact the overall performance of the device. Leveraging the work in Wersal and Ricci [Nucl. Fusion 5 ...
