Herein, a post-synthetic modification strategy is used to covalently graft polyamines, including ethylenediamine (ED), diethylenetriamine (DETA), tris(2-aminoethyl)amine (TAEA), and polyethyleneimine (PEI) to the amino-ligand inside of a Cr-MOF, NH2-Cr-BDC ...

Affected by both future anthropogenic emissions and climate change, future prediction of PM2.5 and its Oxidative Potential (OP) distribution is a significant challenge, especially in developing countries like China. To overcome this challenge, we estimated ...

The current study performs the thermodynamic and life-cycle assessments (LCA) of a novel charging station in two system designs. The goal is to design an efficient charging station for electric vehicles with high efficiencies and low environmental impacts ...

The world needs to move from a fossil fuel to a renewable energy based society. With the increasing electricity production from wind and PV, short and long term energy storage are becoming one of challenge of the 21st century. While batteries are the prefe ...

Expansion of agriculture in forested areas poses significant threats and pressure to ecosystems and potentially the global climate. More specifically, expansion of oil palm (OP) plantations has been found to exert great impact on key ecosystem functions li ...

The Opalinus Clay formation will host geological nuclear waste repositories in Switzerland. It is expected that gas pressure will build-up due to hydrogen production from steel corrosion, jeopardizing the integrity of the engineered barriers. In an in situ ...

Carbon dioxide may constitute a source of chemicals and fuels if efficient and renewable processes are developed that directly utilize it as feedstock. Two of its reduction products are formic acid and methanol, which have also been proposed as liquid orga ...

The present paper investigates the variation in performances in steam electrolysis and co-electrolysis of steam/CO2 on SOEC single cells. In electrolysis mode, a sensitivity analysis was performed looking in particular at the effects of temperature (750°C a ...

The detailed description of gas streams in biomass gasification plants is necessary for the correct design and operation of these units. Sulfur containing compounds are usually present in biomass gasification gas, since sulfur is typically found in the fee ...
