The Υ(2S) and Υ(3S) production cross-sections are measured relative to that of the Υ(1S) meson, as a function of charged-particle multiplicity in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The measurement uses data collected by the LHCb ...

Measurements of the charge-dependent two-particle angular correlation function in proton-lead (pPb) collisions at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of root s(NN) = 8.16 TeV and lead-lead (PbPb) collisions at root s(NN) = 5.02 TeV are reported. The pP ...

A search for the very rare D0→μ+μ- decay is performed using data collected by the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at s=7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb-1. The search is optimized for D0 mesons from D*+→D0π+ d ...

A data sample containing top quark pairs (tt over bar ) produced in association with a Lorentz-boosted Z or Higgs boson is used to search for signs of new physics using effective field theory. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 138 fb-1 of ...

The Large Hadron Collider at CERN will undergo an upgrade in order to increase its luminosity to 7.5 x 1034 cm-2s-1. The increased luminosity during this High-Luminosity running phase, starting around 2029, means a higher rate of proton-proton interactions ...

The production cross-section of the chi(c1)(3872) state relative to the psi(2S) meson is measured using proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of root s = 8 and 13 TeV, corresponding to integrated luminos ...

We report the results of a search for a new vector boson (A') decaying into two dark matter particles chi 1 chi 2 of different mass. The heavier chi(2) particle subsequently decays to chi 1 and an off-shell Dark Photon A'* -> e(+)e(-). For a sufficiently l ...

This paper presents two scenarios used for generation of a runaway electron (RE) beam in the COMPASS tokamak with a focus on the decay phase and control of the beam. The first scenario consists of massive gas injection of argon into the current ramp-up pha ...

A new type of fast luminosity separation scans ("emittance scans") was introduced at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in 2015. The scans were performed systematically in every fill with full-intensity beams in physics production conditions at the inter ...

We study hadronic transitions between bottomonium states using 496 fb(-1) data collected at the gamma(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy e(+)e(-) collider. We measure: B(gamma(4S) -> pi(+)pi(-)gamma(1S)) = (8.2 +/- 0.5(stat ...

We show that, leaving aside accelerated cosmic expansion, all experimental data in high energy physics that are commonly agreed to require physics beyond the Standard Model can be explained when completing the model by three right-handed neutrinos that can ...

The charged-particle production ratios (p) over bar /p, K-/K+, pi(-)/pi(+), (p+(p) over bar)/(pi(+)/pi(-)), (K++K-)/(pi(+)/pi(-)) and (p+(p) over bar)/(K++K-) are measured with the LHCb detector using 0.3 nb(-1) of pp collisions delivered by the LHC at roo ...

Using a sample of 158 x 10(6) Y(2S) events collected with the Belle detector, we search for the first time for double-charmonium decays of the P-wave spin-triplet bottomonium states (Y(2S) -> gamma chi(bJ), chi(bJ) -> J/psi J/psi, J/psi psi', psi'psi' for ...

We observe evidence for D0-D̄0 mixing by measuring the difference in the apparent lifetime when a D0 meson decays to the CP eigenstates K+K- and π+π- and when it decays to the final state K-π+. We find the relative difference of the lifetimes yCP to be [1. ...

We present a measurement of the branching fraction and time-dependent CP violation parameters for B-0 ->(D*+D*-KS0) decays. These results are obtained from a 414 fb(-1) data sample that contains 449x10(6) B (B) over bar pairs collected at the Upsilon(4S) r ...
