Monolayers of transition-metal dichalcogenides, such as MoS 2 , have attracted significant attention for their exceptional electronic and optical properties, positioning them as ideal candidates for advanced optoelectronic applications. Despite their stron ...

Microwave superconducting resonators are extensively studied in fields such as quantum computing and electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy. However, the integration of superconducting resonators with feedback mechanisms to create ultra-low noise oscil ...

Characterizing and controlling the out-of-equilibrium state of nanostructured Mott insulators hold great promises for emerging quantum technologies while providing an exciting playground for investigating fundamental physics of strongly-correlated systems. ...

Here, we review the most recent developments in the field of 2-D electronics. We focus first on the synthesis of 2-D materials, discussing the different growth techniques currently available and assessing their strengths and weaknesses. Moreover, we descri ...

In this work we report the fabrication, co-integration and resulting performance of 2D/2D van der Waals (vdW) Vertical p-type Tunnel FETs and p-MOSFETs in a WSe2/SnSe2 material system. We demonstrate the best ever reported combined performance in terms of ...

Direct incorporation of Ni adatoms during graphene growth on Ni( 111) is evidenced by scanning tunneling microscopy. The structure and energetics of the observed defects is thoroughly characterized at the atomic level on the basis of density functional the ...

A single field effect transistor capacitor-less memory device, and method of operating the same, including a drain region, a source region, an intrinsic channel region between the drain region and the source region forming the single field effect transisto ...

Atomically thin nanopore membranes are considered to be a promising approach to achieve single base resolution with the ultimate aim of rapid and cheap DNA sequencing. Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) is newly emerging as a material complementary to graphene du ...

We study the characteristics of surface plasmons propagating along graphene sheets, focusing on the effect of spatial dispersion and applied magnetostatic bias, and taking into account the influence of the surrounding media, applied electrostatic biasing f ...

Logic circuits and the ability to amplify electrical signals form the functional backbone of electronics along with the possibility to integrate multiple elements on the same chip. The miniaturization of electronic circuits is expected to reach fundamental ...

During many decades, Moore's law, which predicts an exponential increase in performance of semiconductor logic circuits and memories and an exponential decrease in their area, has proven its universal validity. It also helped the semiconductor industry pre ...
