We propose and implement a multiparty homomorphic encryption (MHE) scheme with a t-out-of -N-threshold access-structure that is efficient and does not require a trusted dealer in the common random string model. We construct this scheme from the ring-learni ...

The crowdedness of the RF spectrum constitutes problems in communication, however it also accommodates large amount of useful information. This information can be used to determine existing signals and operating contexts. However, spectrum condition varies ...

By supporting the access of multiple memory words at the same time, Bit-line Computing (BC) architectures allow the parallel execution of bit-wise operations in-memory. At the array periphery, arithmetic operations are then derived with little additional o ...

Solar energy is the most abundant energy source, harnessing solar energy holds the solution to the challenge of increasing global energy demand and reducing our dependence on fossil fuels. Photovoltaics which directly convert solar energy into electricity ...

Isogeometric analysis (IGA) was introduced to integrate methods for analysis and computer-aided design (CAD) into a unified process. High-quality parameterization of a physical domain plays a crucial role in IGA. However, obtaining high-quality parameteriz ...

This paper focuses on the distributionally robust dispatch for integrated transmission-distribution (ITD) systems via distributed optimization. Existing distributed algorithms usually require synchronization of all subproblems, which could be hard to scale ...

We present a novel method to perform numerical integration over curved polyhedra enclosed by high-order parametric surfaces. Such a polyhedron is first decomposed into a set of triangular and/or rectangular pyramids, whose certain faces correspond to the g ...

A good knowledge of material properties is a critical aspect for modeling high-temperature superconductor (HTS) devices. However, the knowledge of the electrical resistivity of coated conductors above the critical current is limited. The major challenge in ...

The equilibrium of the archetypal morning commute problem with alpha -,B - gamma preferences has been shown to be unstable with various rational adjustment mechanisms, under both continuous and discrete day-to-day dynamics. It is not clear however whether ...

Causal consistency (CC) is an attractive consistency model for geo-replicated data stores because it hits a sweet spot in the ease-of-programming versus performance trade-off. We present a new approach for implementing CC in geo-replicated data stores, whi ...

In this study, a mechanical anchorage for prestressed carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) rods was proposed. The proposed anchorage consisted of a steel barrel with a conical hole and three separate aluminum wedges that are in direct contact with the CF ...

The compliance of the proximal aortic wall is a major determinant of cardiac afterload. Aortic compliance is often estimated based on cross-sectional area changes over the pulse pressure, under the assumption of a negligible longitudinal stretch during the ...

The assessment of the shear strength of reinforced concrete beams with and without shear reinforcement is investigated in this paper on the basis of the contribution of the various potential shear-transfer actions. To that aim, a comprehensive experimental ...

Analytical applications, such as exploratory data analysis and decision support, process complex workloads that include sequences of inter-dependent queries. While modern OLAP systems exploit data parallelism, dependencies force execution ordering constrai ...

This report presents an up-to-date review on the interaction of light with magnetic semiconductors during photocatalysis leading to bacterial inactivation and pollutant degradation. The acceleration in the photocatalytic reactions mediated by wide-band gap ...

In the framework of the XFLEX HYDRO H2020 European Project, one of the demonstrators focuses on the implementation of the hydraulic short-circuit on the pump storage power plant of Grand-Maison owned by Electricite De France (EDF). The Grand-Maison power p ...

An efficient component model has been developed that captures strength and stiffness deterioration of steel hollow structural section (HSS) columns. The proposed model consists of two fiber-based segments at a member's ends along with an elastic segment in ...

The precise calculation of solar irradiance is pivotal for forecasting the electric power generated by PV plants. However, on-ground measurements are expensive and are generally not performed for small and medium-sized PV plants. Satellite-based services r ...

Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) have the potential to improve the quality of image-based 3D reconstructions. However, the use of DNNs in the context of 3D reconstruction from large and high-resolution image datasets is still an open challenge, due to memory an ...

In this article, we present a theoretical analysis of a junctionless (JL), ion-sensitive, field-effect-transistor (ISFET), self-consistently combining the electrochemical interaction between the semiconductor-insulator interface and the surrounding electro ...
