Multiview video refers to videos of the same dynamic 3-D scene captured simultaneously by multiple closely spaced cameras from different viewpoints. We study interactive streaming of pre-encoded multiview videos, where, at any time, a client can request an ...

Scalable video coding is emerging as an efficient alternative to simulcast encoding to distribute the same video content si- multaneously to many users having different terminals and network conditions. In order to select the best combination of video scal ...

We derive an optimization framework for joint view and rate scalable coding of multi-view video content represented in the texture plus depth format. The optimization enables the sender to select the subset of coded views and their encoding rates such that ...

Increasingly popular multimedia services are expected to play a dominant role in the future of the Internet. In this context, it is essential that content-aware networking (CAN) architectures explicitly address the efficient delivery and processing of mult ...

After several generations of video coding standards, MPEG High Efficient Video Coding (HEVC) is likely to emerge as the video coding standards for HD and Ultra-HD TV. HEVC decoding is expected to be less computationally demanding and to provide a higher le ...

This paper presents a methodology to perform design space exploration of complex signal processing systems implemented using the CAL dataflow language. In the course of space exploration, critical path in dataflow programs is first presented, and then anal ...

A method of providing SVC video content with added media content, comprising the steps of: receiving an original video content transmitted from a remote site in a bit stream and including original video encoding parameters decoding said original video enco ...
