Absolute photodissociation quantum yield of water in argon matrixes

Résumé

The abs. photodissocn. yield of H2O was measured in Ar matrixes at 160 nm. This energy was chosen as it corresponds to the max. of the photodissocn. yield curve. The abs. quantum efficiency is given by h = NOH/n(160 nm), where NOH is the no. of OH mols. produced following the absorption by H2O mols. of n photons at 160 nm. It is, therefore, necessary to know the abs. photon flux as well as the no. of OH mols. in the sample in order to est. h. [on SciFinder (R)]

Rendement

L'idée générale de rendement qualifie la manière dont une action, un procédé de transformation, un processus – dans lequel on a initialement entré quelque chose retourne le résultat prévu ou attendu, avec l'idée que ce rendu, retour, renvoi peut être plus ou moins performant du fait de l'existence d'imperfections, de gaspillage, de déchets, d'inertie : qui font que le rendement effectif obtenu diffère souvent du rendement prévu ; qui expliquent la variabilité de la performance qu'il s'agit alors de constate

Courbe des taux

Une courbe des taux (en anglais : Yield Curve) est, en finance, la représentation graphique de la fonction mathématique du taux d'intérêt effectif à un instant donné d'un zéro-coupon en fonction de sa maturité d'une même classe d'instruments fongibles exprimés dans une même devise, comme les swaps contre IBOR. Par extension, on l'emploie pour des instruments non fongibles mais néanmoins fortement comparables entre eux, comme les emprunts à taux fixe d'un même État.

Yield (engineering)

In materials science and engineering, the yield point is the point on a stress-strain curve that indicates the limit of elastic behavior and the beginning of plastic behavior. Below the yield point, a material will deform elastically and will return to its original shape when the applied stress is removed. Once the yield point is passed, some fraction of the deformation will be permanent and non-reversible and is known as plastic deformation.
