The preparation and characterization of a series of complexes of the Yb and Eu cations in the oxidation state II and III with the tetradentate N,O-donor tripodal ligands (tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine (TPA), BPA(-) (HBPA=bis(2-pyridylmethyl)(2-hydroxybenzyl)a ...

The work presented in this thesis entails the synthesis and characterisation of new iron(II) tris(dioxime) clathrochelate complexes functionalised with apical capping groups suitable for supramolecular applications, and their subsequent incorporation into ...

Described are the synthesis and characterization of two, potentially tetradentate, N2S2 Schiff-base ligands, containing a disulfide bond, N,N'-bis(3-phenylprop-2-en-l-ylidene)-2,2'-disulfanediyldianiline (L-1) and N,N'-bis(3,3-diphenylprop-2-en-1-ylidene)- ...

The development of cyclometalated rhodium and iridium complexes from first-and second-generation naphthaldimine-based poly(propyleneimine) dendrimer scaffolds of the type, DAB-(NH2)(n) (where n = 4 or 8, DAB = diaminobutane) has been accomplished. Four met ...

The title complex [Co-III{(naph)(2)dpt}(bzlan)]BPh4, where (naph)(2)dpt stands for bis-(2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldimine)-N-dipropylenetriamine dianion and bzlan for benzylamine, has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, UV-Vis and H-1 NM ...

A series of p-cymene ruthenium dichloro complexes containing isonicotinic ester ligands, [(arene) RuCl2NC5H4-4-COO-C6H4-p-O-(CH2)(n)-CH3] (n = 1: 1, n = 3: 2, n = 5: 3, n = 7:4, n = 9: 5, n = 11: 6, n = 13: 7, n = 15: 8), were prepared from p-cymene ruthen ...

Phosphinoylated calixarenes feature high coordination ability toward f elements and a great potentiality toward actinide/rare earth separation. Here, we report three characteristic properties of a tetra-phosphinoylated p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene, B(4)bL(4) ...

The isomerization dynamics of five labile octahedral Co(II) compounds have been investigated by variable temperature and pressure 1H and 19F NMR spectroscopy in dichloromethane solution. The X-ray crystal structure of the two tris-chelates, [Co(HFA)2bpic] ...
