Arrayed waveguide gratings (AWGs) are widely used photonic components for splitting and combining different wavelengths of light. They play a key role in wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) systems by enabling efficient routing of multiple data channels ...

The Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) was designed to conduct a survey covering 14,000 deg(2) over 5 yr to constrain the cosmic expansion history through precise measurements of baryon acoustic oscillations (BAO). The scientific program for DESI ...

In traditional power delivery networks, the on-chip supply voltage is provided by board-level converters. Due to the significant distance between the converter and the load, variations in the load current are not effectively managed, producing a significan ...

The shift towards DC power distribution networks, enabled by power electronics technologies, is changing the nature of electrical power systems. Nowadays, DC power distribution networks can effectively support the high penetration of distributed energy res ...

In two-stage solid-state transformers with input-series output-parallel structure, the LLC converter operating at a fixed switching frequency is a common choice for the isolated DC/DC conversion stage because it can provide a high efficiency and a fixed vo ...

Primordial features, in particular oscillatory signals, imprinted in the primordial power spectrum of density perturbations represent a clear window of opportunity for detecting new physics at high-energy scales. Future spectroscopic and photometric measur ...

Measurements of large-scale structure (LSS), as performed on the largest 3D map of over two million extragalactic sources from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, together with measurements of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) anisotropies, are in complete a ...

Owing to the advancements in the area of power electronics, efficient and flexible ac to dc conversion is made possible, bringing back into focus the idea of the dc power transmission at various voltage levels. Several technical and economical factors advo ...

We have investigated the cosmological constraints that can be expected from measurement of the cross-correlation of galaxies with cosmic voids identified in the Euclid spectroscopic survey, which will include spectroscopic information for tens of millions ...

The invention relates to a method for operating a power switching device, particularly a wide bandgap power switching device, in a power application, particularly in a converter, comprising the steps of:- checking (S2) a transient voltage of or related to ...

Next-generation spectroscopic surveys such as the MegaMapper, MUltiplexed Survey Telescope (MUST), MaunaKea Spectroscopic Explorer (MSE), and WideField Spectroscopic Telescope (WST) are foreseen to increase the number of galaxy/quasar redshifts by an order ...

The medium-voltage grid emulator is gaining popularity for testing grid-code compliance of large-capacity converters for renewable energy resources. The cascaded H-bridge converter based on active-front-ends is a promising candidate for high-power grid emu ...

Label-free biosensors, combined with miniaturized micro-electromechanical sensory platforms, offer an attractive solution for real-time and facile monitoring of biomolecules due to their high sensitivity and selectivity without the need for specifically la ...

The Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) Survey has obtained a set of spectroscopic measurements of galaxies to validate the final survey design and target selections. To assist in these tasks, we visually inspect DESI spectra of approximately 2500 ...

Context. We present a novel approach to the construction of mock galaxy catalogues for large-scale structure analysis based on the distribution of dark matter halos obtained with effective bias models at the field level. Aims. We aim to produce mock galaxy ...

Millions of quasar spectra will be collected by the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI), leading to a fourfold increase in the number of known quasars. High-accuracy quasar classification is essential to tighten constraints on cosmological paramete ...

The Tokamak a` Configuration Variable (TCV) coil converters are fed, during the plasma pulse, by a flywheel generator (FG) providing the AC voltages few seconds before the plasma pulse. The synchronization with the 120 Hz frequency delivered by the FG, var ...

We present the clustering of voids based on the quasar (QSO) sample of the extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey Data Release 16 in configuration space. We define voids as overlapping empty circumspheres computed by Delaunay tetrahedra spanned b ...

This work focusses on the pilot run of a simulation campaign aimed at investigating the spectroscopic capabilities of the Euclid NearInfrared Spectrometer and Photometer (NISP), in terms of continuum and emission line detection in the context of galaxy evo ...

This paper presents an output capacitor-less low-dropout regulator (LDO) with a bias switching scheme for biomedical applications with dual-range load currents. Power optimization is crucial for systems with multiple activation modes such as neural interfa ...
