We present the clustering of voids based on the quasar (QSO) sample of the extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey Data Release 16 in configuration space. We define voids as overlapping empty circumspheres computed by Delaunay tetrahedra spanned b ...

We study quantum field theory on a de Sitter spacetime dS(d+1) background. Our main tool is the Hilbert space decomposition in irreducible unitary representations of its isometry group SO(d + 1, 1). As the first application of the Hilbert space formalism, ...

We point out an enhancement of the pair production rate of charged fermions in a strong electric field in the presence of time dependent classical axion-like background field, which we call axion assisted Schwinger effect. While the standard Schwinger prod ...

We present the HOLISMOKES programme on strong gravitational lensing of supernovae (SNe) as a probe of SN physics and cosmology. We investigate the effects of microlensing on early-phase SN Ia spectra using four different SN explosion models. We find that d ...

Robotics have recently contributed to cosmological spectroscopy to automatically obtain the map of the observable universe using robotic fiber positioners. For this purpose, an assignment algorithm is required to assign each robotic fiber positioner to a t ...

We investigate the spin-1/2 Heisenberg model on a rectangular lattice, using the Gutzwiller projected variational wave function known as the staggered flux state. Using Monte Carlo techniques, the variational parameters and instantaneous spin-spin correlat ...

We investigate the environment and line of sight (LoS) of the H0LiCOW (H-0 Lenses in COSMOGRAIL's Wellspring) lens B1608+656 using Subaru Suprime-Cam and the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) to perform a weak lensing analysis. We compare three different method ...

The extension complexity xc(P) of a polytope P is the minimum number of facets of a polytope that affinely projects to P. Let G be a bipartite graph with n vertices, m edges, and no isolated vertices. Let STAB(G) be the convex hull of the stable sets of G. ...

Over recent years, many large network datasets become available, giving rise to novel and valuable applications of data mining and machine learning techniques. These datasets include social networks, the structure of the Internet, and protein-interaction n ...

We consider the variation of Ramsey numbers introduced by Erdos and Pach [J. Graph Theory, 7 (1983), pp. 137-147], where instead of seeking complete or independent sets we only seek a t-homogeneous set, a vertex subset that induces a subgraph of minimum de ...

Reconstructing complex curvilinear structures such as neural circuits, road networks, and blood vessels is a key challenge in many scientific and engineering fields. It has a broad range of applications, from the delineation of micrometer-sized neurons in ...
