In this study, we explored the effect of Cr³⁺ substitution by partially and fully replacing Fe³⁺ in the normal spinel ZnFe₂O₄ crystal structure at electrochemical interfaces. The resulting ZnCrₓFe₂₋ₓO₄ nanomaterials exhibited an average particle size betwe ...

Metasurfaces, planar arrays of subwavelength resonators, have emerged as powerful tools for versatile light manipulation in compact formats across different spectral ranges. Among these, the mid-infrared (mid-IR) is uniquely characterized by its interactio ...

The presence of metal salts has become one of the major limitations for measuring metallic nanoparticles (NPs) in single particle inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (spICP-MS). Their presence generates a background signal in spICP-MS that can be ...

Pt(II)-based molecular catalysts stand as a prototypical system in hydrogen evolution reactions (HER) owing to their consistently elevated activity levels. Their integration into heterogeneous systems thus provides an ideal platform to develop catalytic ma ...

The presence of metallic nanoparticles (NPs) in aerosols has raised concern about their fate in the environment through natural processes and anthropological activities. The state-of-the-art technologies for direct aerosol characterization cannot reach rea ...

In aqueous solutions, a charged surface causes the redistribution of nearby ions. The ion layers formed are known as the electrical double layer (EDL), and are widespread in many systems involving electrochemistry, colloidal science, biomedicine, and energ ...

Renewable energy sources offer a promising solution for mitigating sustainability and CO2 emissions-related issues due to their vast energy generation capacity. They enable hydrogen production via water electrolysis, as well as carbon capture and utilizati ...

Plasmonic photochemistry has a large potential to replace energy-intensive chemical processes with low-temperature, low-pressure light-driven chemical reactions. Plasmonic nanostructures have emerged as promising photocatalysts with exceptional and tunable ...

Exploring nonequilibrium hot carriers from plasmonic metal nanostructures is a dynamic field in optoelectronics, with applications including photochemical reactions for solar fuel generation. The hot carrier injection mechanism and the reaction rate are hi ...

Silver is one of the most studied electrode materials for the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide into carbon monoxide, a product with many industrial applications. There is a growing number of reports in which silver is implemented in gas diffusio ...

Permissible limits of Pb 2+ in drinking water are being reduced from 10 mu gL -1 to 5 mu gL -1 , which calls for rapid, and highly reliable detection techniques. Electrochemical sensors have garnered attention in detection of heavy metal ions in environmen ...

Advanced battery electrodes require a cautious design of microscale particles with built-in nanoscale features to exploit the advantages of both micro- and nano-particles relative to their performance attributes. Herein, the dynamic behavior of nanosized S ...

Recent advances in coupling light-harvesting microorganisms with electronic components have led to a new generation of biohybrid devices based on microbial photocatalysts. These devices are limited by the poorly conductive interface between phototrophs and ...

Conventional techniques for purifying macromolecular conjugates often require complex and costly installments that are inaccessible to most laboratories. In this work, we develop a one-step micropreparative method based on a trilayered polyacrylamide gel e ...

Lanthanide redox reactivity remains limited to one-electron transfer reactions due to their inability to access a broad range of oxidation states. Here, we show that multielectron reductive chemistry is achieved for ytterbium by using the tripodal tris(sil ...

Diffusion-based generative methods have proven effective in modeling trajectories with offline datasets. However, they often face computational challenges and can falter in generalization, especially in capturing temporal abstractions for long- horizon tas ...
