This document contains all the data and the details of the analysis used in the manuscript titled " Control of Ge island coalescence for the formation of nanowires on silicon." https://doi.org/10.1039/D3NH00573A ...

Microchannel plates based on amorphous silicon have the inherent capability to overcome the existing spatial and temporal resolution limitations of single photon detectors. A Monte Carlo model-based study is presented here that serves to exploit their full ...

An exciting new approach for microchannel plate (MCP) detectors could help make them suitable for single photon detection. State-of-the-art clean room technology allows amorphous silicon based microchannel plates (AMCPs) to take a variety of shapes. This v ...

Based on extensive qualitative research, this article analyzes the governance of competition in European railways and relates this to their performance via five case studies covering the Netherlands, France, Germany, Sweden and the UK. Even though some tre ...

Charged particles entering a crystal close to some preferred direction can be trapped in the electromagnetic potential well existing between consecutive planes or strings of atoms. This channeling effect can be used to extract beam particles if the crystal ...

Monte Carlo (MC) simulations significantly contributed to a better understanding of laser-Doppler flowmetry (LDF). Here it is shown that the data obtained from standard MC simulations can be reinterpreted and used to extract more information such as the ph ...

This paper presents a method enabling the evaluation of the averaging fault-tolerant technique, using the output probability density functions (PDFs) of unreliable units which are acquired from Monte Carlo simulations. The method has been verified by compa ...

The early requirements of an IT system should be aligned with the organization’s business imperatives. To understand these imperatives it is necessary to understand the organization’s position within its environment. SEAM for Business is a method designed ...

When exposed to ionising radiation, living tissue can potentially suffer somatic and genetic damage - effects depending mainly on the radiation dose or energy absorbed, the type of radiation, and the type and mass of cells affected. It is well known that l ...
