A search for D 0 meson decays to the π + π − e + e − and K + K − e + e − final states is reported using a sample of proton-proton collisions collected by the LHCb experiment at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of ...

Measurements of fiducial and total inclusive cross sections for W and Z boson production are presented in proton-proton collisions at s = 5.02 and 13 TeV. Electron and muon decay modes (ℓ = e or μ) are studied in the data collected with the CMS detector in ...

By analyzing 4.5 fb −1 of e + e − collision data accumulated with the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies ranging from 4599.53 MeV to 4698.82 MeV, we report the measurement of the absolute branching fraction (BF) of the inclusive decay $ {\Lambda}_c ...

for the LHCb Collaboration.Flow harmonic coefficients, vn, which are the key to studying the hydrodynamics of the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) created in heavy-ion collisions, have been measured in various collision systems and kinematic regions and using vari ...

The results of a model-independent search for the pair production of new bosons within a mass range of 0.21 < m < 60 GeV, are presented. This study utilizes events with a four-muon final state. We use two data sets, comprising 41.5 fb(-1) and 59.7 fb(-1) o ...

A search for the standard model Higgs boson decaying to a charm quark-antiquark pair, H ? cc-, produced in association with a leptonically decaying V (W or Z) boson is presented. The search is performed with proton-proton collisions at vs = 13 TeV collecte ...

A sample of 1.3 x 10^(5) K^(+) → π^(0)e^(+)νγ candidates with less than 1% background was collected by the NA62 experiment at the CERN SPS in 2017-2018. Branching fraction measurements are obtained at percent relative precision in three restricted kinemati ...

In addition to vector (V) type new particles extensively discussed previously, both CP-even (S) and CP-odd (P) spin-0 dark matter (DM) mediators can couple to muons and be produced in the bremsstrahlung reaction μ- + N → μ- + N + S(P). Their possible subse ...

In the vast expanse of the Universe and on our planet, nuclei exist in a state of excitement. These excited nuclear states (isomers) can persist for varying periods, from fractions of a second to billions of years and beyond, before decaying to their groun ...

Tests of lepton universality in B-0 -> K(S)(0)l(+)l(-) and B+ -> K*(+)l(+)l(-) decays where l is either an electron or a muon are presented. The differential branching fractions of B-0 -> K(S)(0)e(+)e(-) and B+ -> K*(+)e(+)e(-) decays are measured in inter ...

We report the first observation of the spontaneous polarization of Lambda and (Lambda) over bar hyperons transverse to the production plane in e(+)e(-) annihilation, which is attributed to the effect arising from a polarizing fragmentation function. For in ...

We review the physics opportunities of the Future Circular Collider, covering its e(+)e(-), pp, ep and heavy ion programmes. We describe the measurement capabilities of each FCC component, addressing the study of electroweak, Higgs and strong interactions, ...

We use 772 x 10(6) B (B) over bar meson pairs collected at the gamma(4S) resonance with the Belle detector to measure the branching fraction for (B) over bar -> X-s gamma Our measurement uses a sum-of-exclusives approach in which 38 of the hadronic final s ...

A search for the rare decay D-0 -> mu(+) mu(-) is performed using a data sample, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 0.9 fb(-1), of pp collisions collected at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV by the LHCb experiment. The observed number of events i ...

In this work we study thermal leptogenesis using nonequilibrium quantum field theory. Starting from fundamental equations for correlators of the quantum fields we describe the steps necessary to obtain quantum-kinetic equations for quasiparticles. These ca ...

A discovery of the rare decay B+ -> pi(+)mu(+)mu(-) is presented. This decay is observed for the first time, with 5.2 sigma significance. The observation is made using p p collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb(-1), collected w ...
