A search for light long-lived particles (LLPs) decaying to displaced jets is presented, using a data sample of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13.6 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 34.7 fb(-1), collected with the CMS ...

Based on 4.5 fb(-1) of ethorne- collision data accumulated at center-of-mass energies between 4599.53 and 4698.82 MeV with the BESIII detector, the decay Lambda(+)(c) -> nK(S)(0)pi(+)pi(0) is observed for the first time with a significance of 9.2 sigma. Th ...

Using (27.12 +/- 0.14) x 10(8) ψ(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector at BEPCII, the decay of ψ(3686) -> Ω(-)K(+) Ξ 0 + c.c. is observed for the first time. The branching fraction of this decay is measured to be B-Psi(3686)->Omega K--(+)Xi

A search for the lepton flavor violating tau -> 3 mu decay is performed using proton-proton collision events at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC in 2017-2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 97.7 fb( ...

The Cabbibo-favored decay Lambda thorn c -> Xi 0K thorn pi 0 is studied for the first time using 6.1 fb-1 of e thorn e- collision data at center-of-mass energies between 4.600 and 4.840 GeV, collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. With a ...

A measurement is presented of a ratio observable that provides a measure of the azimuthal correlations among jets with large transverse momentum p(T). This observable is measured in multijet events over the range of p(T) = 360-3170 GeV based on data collec ...

The B+→Ds+Ds-K+ decay is observed for the first time using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb-1. Its branching fraction relative to ...

A measurement is presented for the electroweak production of aW boson, a photon (gamma), and two jets (j) in proton-proton collisions. The leptonic decay of the W boson is selected by requiring one identified electron or muon and large missing transverse m ...

Coherent production of J/ψ mesons is studied in ultraperipheral lead-lead collisions at a nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass energy of 5 TeV, using a data sample collected by the LHCb experiment corresponding to an integrated luminosity of about 10 μb−1. The J ...

This presentation examines the energetic particle transport induced by saturated kink modes and sawtooth crashes in JET deuterium plasmas. It is known that kink mode-resonant transport and phase-space redistribution from sawtooth crashes can drive strong f ...

We present numerical simulations and experimental results of the self-modulation of a long proton bunch in a plasma with linear density gradients along the beam path. Simulation results agree with the experimental results reported [F. Braunmller, T. Nechae ...

Atomic design of a 2D-material such as graphene can be substantially influenced by etching, deliberately induced in a transmission electron microscope. It is achieved primarily by overcoming the threshold energy for defect formation by controlling the kine ...

Collective effects leading to spatial, temporal or spatiotemporal pattern formation in complex nonlinear systems driven out of equilibrium cannot be described at the single-particle level and are therefore often called emergent phenomena. They are characte ...

We present the results of the first Dalitz plot analysis of the decay D-0 -> K-pi(+)eta. The analysis is performed on a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 953 fb(-1) collected by the Belle detector at the asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) KEKB ...

The first measurement of heavy-flavor production by the LHCb experiment in its fixed-target mode is presented. The production of J/psi and D-0 mesons is studied with beams of protons of different energies colliding with gaseous targets of helium and argon ...

We report measurements of isospin asymmetry Delta(0-) and difference of direct CP asymmetries Delta A(CP) between charged and neutral B -> X-s gamma decays. This analysis is based on the data sample containing 772 x 10(6)B (B) over bar pairs that was colle ...

We study fermion number non-conservation (or chirality breaking) in Abelian gauge theories at finite temperature. We consider the presence of a chemical potential mu for the fermionic charge, and monitor its evolution with real-time classical lattice simul ...

We study magnetogenesis in axionlike inflation driven by a pseudoscalar field phi coupled axially to the electromagnetic (EM) field (beta/M-p)phi F-mu nu(F) over tilde mu nu with dimensionless coupling constant beta. A set of equations for the inflaton fie ...

We search for the process B-0 -> pi(-) tau(+)nu(tau) using the full Belle data set of 711 fb(-1), corresponding to 772 x 10(6)B (B) over bar pairs, collected at the gamma (4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collide ...

The difference in total widths between the B-c(+) and B+ mesons is measured using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1) collected by the LHCb experiment in 7 and 8 TeV centre-of-mass energy proton-proton collisions at the LH ...
