The present invention relates to a compound of the general formula (I), and (II)wherein one of R11 and R12 is hydrogen and the other is -CH2-R70, and one of R13 and R14 is hydrogen and the other is -CH2-R71, or wherein one of R11 and R12 is hydrogen and th ...

While classical in many theoretical settings-and in particular in statistical physics-inspired works-the assumption of Gaussian i.i.d. input data is often perceived as a strong limitation in the context of statistics and machine learning. In this study, we ...

The present invention relates to a compound of the general formula (I), (II) and (III), more specifically of formula (Ia), (Ib), (Ic)wherein R11 and R12 or R21 and R22 or R31 and R32 are both hydrogen or form together with CHR50 a cyclic moiety or one of R ...

Let K be an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero, and let G be a connected reductive algebraic group over K. We address the problem of classifying triples (G, H, V ), where H is a proper connected subgroup of G, and V is a finitedimensional ir ...

In the published paper titled 'Model-based impurity emission front control using deuterium fueling and nitrogen seeding in TCV' (2023 Nucl. Fusion 63 026006), the legend of figure 5 shows the wrong colors: red and blue are switched. This corrigendum provid ...

Compound of the general formula (Ia), (Ib) and (Ic) R50 and R60 are different form each other and are selected from the group consisting of -R70, -ZR70, -Z-OH, -Z-NH2, -Z-SH, -Z-OC(O)R70, -OC(O)R70, - COOH and its corresponding salts, -C(O)NH2, -C(O)NH-R70 ...

In a group, the collective dynamics is governed by the inter- actions between individuals, which can manifest differently depending on the available means of communication. In this paper, we compare 3 conditions of communication affordances (global chat, l ...

The recent discovery of an N2O-based synthesis of triazenes in our group has enabled the synthesis and investigation of 1-alkynyl triazenes. Early studies showed their potential for a functional group tolerant synthesis of 1-vinyl triazenes, which is furth ...

Alkynes and nitriles are valuable building blocks in organic synthesis and also have multiple applications in chemical biology and materials science. Due to the high availability of tertiary alcohols, developing methods for their conversion into alkynes an ...

We address for the first time the problem of correcting group discriminations within a score function, while minimizing the individual error. Each group is described by a probability density function on the set of profiles. We first solve the problem analy ...

Cyclic peptides are ring-shaped molecules that emerged as a promising class of therapeutics. While it is often difficult to find small molecule binders for challenging disease targets, cyclic peptides can bind to featureless surfaces or inhibit protein-pro ...

BackgroundTinnitus is a heterogeneous condition which may be associated with moderate to severe disability, but the reasons why only a subset of individuals is burdened by the condition are not fully clear. Ecological momentary assessment (EMA) allows a be ...

The Cremona group is the group of birational transformations of the complex projective plane. In this paper we classify its subgroups that consist only of elliptic elements using elementary model theory. This yields in particular a description of the struc ...

The Matching Augmentation Problem (MAP) has recently received significant attention as an important step towards better approximation algorithms for finding cheap 2-edge connected subgraphs. This has culminated in a 5/3-approximation algorithm. However, th ...

Amorphous solids are structurally disordered. They are very common and include glasses, colloids, and granular materials, but are far less understood than crystalline solids. Key aspects of these materials are controlled by the presence of excitations in w ...

We prove the vanishing of the bounded cohomology of lamplighter groups for a wide range of coefficients. This implies the same vanishing for a number of groups with self-similarity properties, such as Thompson's group F. In particular, these groups are bou ...

BackgroundTotal knee arthroplasty (TKA) is most frequently planned using conventional two-dimensional weight-bearing lower limb radiographs and is performed with conventional femoral and tibial cutting guides. Questions have been raised about the accuracy ...

The sawtooth instability is known for inducing transport and loss of energetic particles (EPs), and for generating seed magnetic islands that can trigger tearing modes. Both effects degrade the overall plasma performance. Several theories and numerical mod ...

We study the spectra of non-regular semisimple elements in irreducible representations of simple algebraic groups. More precisely, we prove that if G is a simply connected simple linear algebraic group and φ : G → GL(V ) is a non-trivial irreducible repres ...

Solving the dendrite growth problem is critical for the development of lithium metal anode for high-capacity batteries. In this work, a machine learning force field model in combination with a self-consistent continuum solvation model is used to simulate t ...
