Using a sample of (2.712 ± 0.014) × 109 ψ(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector at the electron positron collider BEPCII, the decay ψ(3686) →

An important upgrade has been deployed for the collimation system of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) for lead-ion beams that are already planned to reach their high-luminosity target intensity upgrade in the ongoing LHC Run 3 (2022–2026). While certain eff ...

An amplitude analysis of the B-0 -> K*(0) mu(+)mu(-) decay is presented using a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.7 fb(-1) of pp collision data collected with the LHCb experiment. For the first time, the coefficients associated to shor ...

A search for long-lived heavy neutrinos (N) in the decays of B mesons produced in proton-proton collisions at root s = 13 TeV is presented. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 41.6 fb(-1) collected in 2018 by the CMS experiment at th ...

We study tetraquarks in large N QCD with heavy quarks, in the domain where non-relativistic quantum mechanics offers an adequate approximation. Within the regime of validity of the Born-Oppenheimer approximation, we systematically study and explicitly cons ...

Using e(+)e(-) collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 892 pb(-1) collected at center-of-mass energies from 4.84 to 4.95 GeV with the BESIII detector, we search for the process e(+)e(-) -> K+K- psi(3770) by reconstructing two charged k ...

Thermal conductance measurements are sensitive to both charge and chargeless energy flow and are an essential measurement technique in condensed-matter physics. For two-dimensional topological insulators, the determination of thermal Hall (transverse) cond ...

The mass of the top quark is measured in 36.3 fb(-1) of LHC proton-proton collision data collected with the CMS detector at root s = 13 TeV. The measurement uses a sample of top quark pair candidate events containing one isolated electron or muon and at le ...

Fermi surfaces can undergo sharp transitions under smooth changes of parameters. Such transitions can have a topological character, as is the case when a higher-order singularity, one that requires cubic or higher-order terms to describe the electronic dis ...

We present and characterize the galaxy-galaxy lensing signal measured using the first three years of data from the Dark Energy Survey (DES Y3) covering 4132 deg2. These galaxy-galaxy measurements are used in the DES Y3 3 ?? 2 pt cosmological analysis, whic ...

We investigate, using a first-principles density functional methodology, the nature of magnetism in monolayer 1T phase of tantalum disulfide (1T-TaS2). Magnetism in the insulating phase of TaS2 is a longstanding puzzle and has led to a variety of theoretic ...

Strongly peaked tungsten accumulation is a common feature of high performance plasma scenarios in JET with the ITER-like wall, particularly during MHD activity induced by m/n = 1/1 continuous modes. This study investigates the effect of 1/1 long living int ...

This talk will discuss recent advances in the nascent field of integrated photonic circuits for terahertz applications. This field explores photonic circuit technology to create miniaturized terahertz emitters and detectors by non-linear optical processes ...

In this article, the effect of the various processing steps during the fabrication of c-Si/SiOx/SiCx fired passivating contacts on the silicon bulk lifetime is studied, and the kinetics of defect deactivation by hydrogenation is investigated. It is found t ...

Taking into account the impact of self-heating and temperature rise effects, this work presents a physics-based analytical model for HEMTs, operating continuously from room temperature to high temperatures in linear and saturation regimes. Relying on the c ...

The first measurements of diboson production cross sections in proton-proton interactions at a center-of-mass energy of 5.02 TeV are reported. They are based on data collected with the CMS detector at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 ...

Results from the last FTU campaigns on RE mitigation strategies for quiescent and post-disruption RE beams are presented. We provide experimental evidence that for some RE quiescent scenarios D-2 solid pellets achieve complete RE suppression capability, ma ...

Direct current tests performed in the past on the conductor samples of the toroidal field (TF) ITER coils revealed degradation of current sharing temperature, T-cs. The degradation progresses with repetitive electromagnetic loading, and also with thermal c ...

We report on a 16-core recirculating programmable photonic array based on MEMS-tunable directional couplers. The photonic array has a compact footprint (0.04mm(2)/cell) and negligible static power consumption. Waveguide-coupled single-ring resonators, CROW ...
