The paper presents a novel DAG-aware Boolean rewriting algorithm for restructuring combinational logic before technology mapping. The algorithm, called window rewriting, repeatedly selects small parts of the logic and replaces them with more compact implem ...

We present an all-digital application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) that implements Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)-compatible backscatter communication. The ASIC was fabricated in a 65 nm CMOS process and occupies an active area of 0.12 mm(2) while consum ...

Two-dimensional materials (2DMs) have found potential applications in many areas of electronics, such as sensing, memory systems, optoelectronics, and power. Despite an intense experimental work, the literature is lacking of accurate modeling of nonvolatil ...

HfO2-based ferroelectrics are considered a promising class of materials for logic and memory applications due to their CMOS compatibility and ferroelectric figures of merit. A steep-slope field-effect-transistor (FET) switch is a device for logic applicati ...

Conductive domain walls in ferroelectrics offer a promising concept of nanoelectronic circuits with 2D domain-wall channels playing roles of memristors or synoptic interconnections. However, domain wall conduction remains challenging to control and pA-rang ...

Machine learning and signal processing on the edge are poised to influence our everyday lives with devices that will learn and infer from data generated by smart sensors and other devices for the Internet of Things. The next leap toward ubiquitous electron ...

III-N family of materials has offered multiple groundbreaking technologies in the field of optoelectronics and high-power radio-frequency (RF) devices. Blue light-emitting diodes (LEDs) have revolutionized low-energy lighting. Gallium nitride (GaN) RF mark ...

We report the fabrication process and performance characterization of a fully integrated ferroelectric gate stack in a WSe2/SnSe2 Tunnel FETs (TFETs). The energy behavior of the gate stack during charging and discharging, together with the energy loss of a ...

Due to their synaptic functionality based on interacting electronic and ionic charge carriers, organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) appeal as highly attractive candidates for a new generation of organic neuromorphic devices. Despite their acknowledg ...
