Multimetallic cooperativity is believed to play a key role in the cleavage of dinitrogen to nitrides (N3-), but the mechanism remains ambiguous due to the lack of isolated intermediates. Herein, we report the reduction of the complex [K-2{[U-V(OSi((OBu)-Bu ...

A series of diiron/tetrairon compounds containing a S- or a Se-function (2a-d, 4a-d, 5a-b, 6), and the monoiron [FeCp(CO){SeC1(NMe2)(CHC3)-H-2(Me)}] (3) were prepared from the diiron mu-vinyliminium precursors [Fe2Cp2(CO)( mu-CO){mu-eta(1): eta(3)-C-3(R')( ...

This work describes a new sensitive sensor for the simultaneous electrochemical determination by square wave anodic stripping voltammetry of Cd2+ and Pb2+ ions in aqueous solution, based on a disposable ink-jet-printed graphene electrode (IPGE) modifed by ...

Electrochemical biosensors are promoting point-of-care and wearable instrumentation due to their high versatility in measuring human metabolites. There is a considerable number of biological compounds that can be detected and measured through voltammetry b ...

Designing efficient catalysts requires correlating surface structure and local chemical composition with reactivity on length scales from nanometers to tens of microns. While much work has been done on this structure/function correlation on single crystals ...

Many industrial processes are based on electrochemical reactions using engineered electrocatalysts. However, the current lack of theoretical knowledge obscures efforts to maximize catalysts' efficiency, and the optimization process is mostly empirical. To ...

Biphenyl-4-thiol (B4t) functionalised p-GaAs photocathodes were compared to non-functionalised p-GaAs ones in the presence of methyl viologen cation radical (MV+•) as a redox mediator. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS ...

Inkjet printing of electrochemical sensors using a highly loaded mildly edge‐oxidized graphene nanosheet (EOGN) ink is presented. An ink with 30 mg/mL EOGNs is formulated in a mixture of N‐methyl pyrrolidone and propylene glycol with only 30 min of sonicat ...

The synthesis and reactivity of uranium compounds supported by the tris-tert-butoxysiloxide ligand is surveyed. The multiple binding modes of the tert-butoxysiloxide ligand have proven very well suited to stabilize highly reactive homo- and heteropolymetal ...

The reduction of soluble hexavalent uranium to tetravalent uranium can be catalyzed by bacteria and minerals. The end-product of this reduction is often the mineral uraninite, which was long assumed to be the only product of U(VI) reduction. However, recen ...
