Artificial societyAn artificial society is an agent-based computational model for computer simulation in social analysis. It is mostly connected to the themes of complex systems, emergence, the Monte Carlo method, computational sociology, multi-agent systems, and evolutionary programming. While the concept was simple, actually realizing this conceptual point took a while. Complex mathematical models have been, and are, common; deceivingly simple models only have their roots in the late forties, and took the advent of the microcomputer to really get up to speed.
Finger trackingIn the field of gesture recognition and , finger tracking is a high-resolution technique developed in 1969 that is employed to know the consecutive position of the fingers of the user and hence represent objects in 3D. In addition to that, the finger tracking technique is used as a tool of the computer, acting as an external device in our computer, similar to a keyboard and a mouse. The finger tracking system is focused on user-data interaction, where the user interacts with virtual data, by handling through the fingers the volumetric of a 3D object that we want to represent.
Flou cinétiqueLe terme flou cinétique (ou flou de mouvement) désigne le flou visible sur une photographie ou dans une animation, dû au mouvement rapide du sujet photographié pendant l'enregistrement ou à un long temps de pose. Il se distingue du flou de bougé, qui est dû à l'instabilité de l'appareil photo pendant la prise de vue, ainsi que du bokeh qui désigne le flou d'arrière-plan utilisé par exemple sur les portraits. En photographie, l'image obtenue n'est pas toujours représentative d'une prise de vue dite « instantanée ».
Préproduction (cinéma)La préproduction est la deuxième étape de la fabrication d'un film ; c'est celle de la « préparation » du tournage (troisième étape). Celle-ci ne débute qu'après l'étape du développement d'un projet qui a été approuvé par les parties prenantes. Le producteur crée une société aux spécificités budgétaires, comptables et juridiques particulières. À ce stade, le projet sera pleinement financièrement planifié. La préproduction consiste à concrétiser le scénario. Elle organise en parallèle un certain nombre de tâches.
Cohérence (physique)La cohérence en physique est l'ensemble des propriétés de corrélation d'un système ondulatoire. Son sens initial était la mesure de la capacité d'onde(s) à donner naissances à des interférences — du fait de l'existence d'une relation de phase définie — mais il s'est élargi. On peut parler de cohérence entre 2 ondes, entre les valeurs d'une même onde à deux instants différents (cohérence temporelle) ou entre les valeurs d'une même onde à deux endroits différents (cohérence spatiale).

La tomographie en cohérence optique est basée sur une technique interférométrique à faible cohérence, utilisant habituellement une lumière dans l'infrarouge proche.

The term is derived from the historical development of film stock, in which the sequentially recorded single images look like a framed picture when examined individually. The term may also be used more generally as a noun or verb to refer to the edges of the image as seen in a camera viewfinder or projected on a screen. Thus, the camera operator can be said to keep a car in frame by panning with it as it speeds past.

Segmentation d'imageLa segmentation d'image est une opération de s consistant à détecter et rassembler les pixels suivant des critères, notamment d'intensité ou spatiaux, l'image apparaissant ainsi formée de régions uniformes. La segmentation peut par exemple montrer les objets en les distinguant du fond avec netteté. Dans les cas où les critères divisent les pixels en deux ensembles, le traitement est une binarisation. Des algorithmes sont écrits comme substitut aux connaissances de haut niveau que l'homme mobilise dans son identification des objets et structures.

La postproduction est l'ensemble des opérations qui finalisent la fabrication d’un film : montage, mixage audio, conformation et étalonnage. Durant ces opérations, la projection du film dans une salle de vision privée sert alors de référence au réalisateur. La postproduction succède à la phase de production qui comprend les préparations, financière et artistique, du projet, et le tournage lui-même.
